Pray for Tucker/Update
 
The news is bad. He has Atlantoaxial instability. The vet put him in a brace from the back of his head to the middle if his body. He has to be in it for 6 weeks, and can't run, jump, or play. He is so pitiful. He can't understand what's going on. The brace has to be so uncomortable. He's 5and aa half months now. Hopefully in 6 or 7 weeks, he can have surgery, but it's risky. I'm just devastated. Tucker's Mom

I'm sorry to hear about little Tucker, I hope this brace will help and that he can have surgery to help him in 6 weeks. I know it must be so painful to watch, stay strong we are all here for you :(

I'm so very sorry that little Tucker has to go thru this. I totally understand about them not understanding what is going on with them but they do know that you still love them dearly. Best of luck with the treatment and surgery. Hugs to you and Tucker.

Oh my goodness, I am so very sorry to hear this. We were all hoping for better news, just as you were. Keep us posted. Poor baby, he has to be uncomfortable in that brace. We will be praying for you and Tucker:hands

You need to contact Vicki- Bleuboybarber

Her baby, Bleu Boy, had the surgery, what? A year or two ago? He is doing FANTASTIC now! They had it done at Texas A&M I believe. Anyway, she is the kindest person ever and would be more than happy to help you!

I am so sorry about Tucker. That is a very scary disease.

I know any illness of your little dog is a sad thing but at least it is fixable with surgery; and his problems aren't due to some horrible neurological disease. Maybe not the most consolation, but we all will be thinking of little Tucker and say prayers for him.

I know it's hard for all of you at this time...I will pray that it goes really, really, fast for all of you....I remember when my babies couldn't be active and I slept on the floor with them in an x-pen....:hands::hands::hands::hands:

I actually read your post around 4:30, and was so upset for you and tucker, I didn't have any words to express my sorrow...But after reading Mom to Hot Rod's post, I decided she said it absolutely perfectly...Although he doesn't understand what's going on, he does understand that you love him...And that will get you both through this...God bless you and your family, and I will, fervently, have you all in my prayers, until you see this through...

My poor baby is having so much trouble walking. It's so hard to watch. He wants to run, and play, but he can't. He falls, and can't get up. How do I get in touch with Vickie-BlueBoybarber? Teagan just had this surgery and is doing great! He's a little puppy that was a breeder surrender to rescue. He was stepped on by a mastiff but that was only part of his problem. The ligament that is part of the AAI was completely severed and the breeder did nothing for almost 3 months. He had his surgery last week and was in the hospital for 5 days but he is now able starting to walk. Please also check out his thread. Babiebears story is also very touching and she has been following Teagan. He is a real living miracle! If you look in Teagan's thread her email address in there. I would contact her for support and more information. She was wonderful to me and so helpful to Teagan.

Oh wow ! I am so sorry days have passed and I have missed this. I will check in more often I love YT and the people here but have been so tied up with many things ... I absolutley feel horrible that even one day has passed .. I have pmd you my phone number. I want to talk to you . I want you to hear from me the encouragement and how much I feel if BLEU BOY can do it your TUCKER can do it. Teagan just came through this surgery too. VAL MY BABE4ME is another form of contact. There are about 5 cases out there of success stories and I know them all and have personally met in person a few of them.

I truly believe in the power of prayer and I will begin to pray for Tucker now THERE IS HOPE .. I was in your shoes at one time and YT and the members pulled me up every day! Thank you again!

I will get the word out to the rest of my friends that have babies with AAI / AAS so you can hear a combination of stories.

We will together be with you every step of the way that we can. There is hope but I must say you need to act quickly .. So I would love to talk to you just as soon as you read this message.

Tucker will be in my prayers. I am so glad that Vicki posted on this because as I read this I sure thought of her li'l guy, Bleu Boy, who is truly a little miracle! She should be able to give you a lot of support and information. Again Best wishes for Tucker and HUGS to you!!
