I need a boys name...... I cant get a name I like for my new pup. I want something unique, but not "out there". I dont want anything that is going to make people turn around when I call him, but I want something that isnt very common. I am stuck!!! |
I know how you feel. We are getting a little girl next month, possibly also her brother. It will be interesting to see what everyone comes up with. Any pictures? |

Is there another animal or person you like the name of? We named our Yorkie after Audrey Hepburn as my daughter loves her and collects anything she can of hers. Audrey had a yorkie named Mr Famous, ours is a female rescue who already had the name of Belle, so she became Audrey-Belle. We plan to get another yorkie when we find the right one close enough to home to go get. Our daughter has already decided to name it after Audrey's pet deer "Pippen". |
For a boy I like the name Raider. My lil man's name is Shiloh and my lil girl's name is Lorelei. You are more than welcome to steal either of those names if you like them :) |
You could 'google' baby boy's names...... Our boy is named "Cole"...He's mostly black (like coal) and our daughter found(not literally) him...(her name Nicole) So, he has a story connected to his name....:doghop: |

When I decided to get a dog I was going to name him Otis from the movie Milo and Otis, then I met an Otis and could not name a dog the same name a a friend so he wound up being Milo. But after a little while his personality came through and sometimes he is Milo and sometimes he is Bubba, he answers to both. If I ever get another I will probably hold off on the name for a week until I see the little personality come through. |
I love the name Oliver and *when* I'm ready to add a biewer to the family I might go with another F name to go with Fancy - right now I'm thinking Finnegan. Good luck with your choices! |

Just some ideas because I like them...you will probably know when you know, though! I get my pooch next week and we think we have decided, on a name, but I am asking her to wait on send us the KC papers because until I hold her, I don't think I will know! Jake Rogue Rascal Bambam Finlay Louie Charlie also - I am a geek, so like.. Picard (he was the best start trek captain) Trimix (breathing gas I use for deep diving) Korben (as in Bruce Willis' character from Fifth Element) Zeus (love the fact that a weeny dog has a god's name) Some of these break your no head turn rule as well... :p |
I have a Zeus and If I got another male I would name him Romeo. Get a picture of him so we could get a clearer idea of what he may look like. Congratulations! |
I like Phinneaus and call him Phinn for short. That's what I was going to name Norman, but it didn't fit him quite right. |

I just heard the most unique name ever and I cracked up laughing when I heard it... I saw the cutest little shih tzu at the local pet supply store and I said oh my he is sooo cute what is his name and she said De O gee. I was like that so cute how did you come up with that she said well her daugther who was 4 said she wanted to name the dog / Dog ya know mommy ( spelling out the letters ) D-o-g, so his name is now DeOgee, I love it.. its so cute!! |

I was in the same boat as you with my first Doberman...it had to be regal sounding, so I chose....Maverick. The girls at our vet's loved it and always called him Master Maverick :D I like Caden and Blake as well. Good Luck The blanket with the breeder is a great idea. It helps tons!!! |
