| :( Thumper Needs A New Home We have decided that Thumper must find a new ( and better home than we can give him) home. Several people have expressed interest in him but I would like to tell as much as I can about Thumper and if you are still interested, please send me a message. I think Thumper has been abused in some way. There is a scar on his back (the groomer discovered it). He is very fearful of strangers and very protective of our youngest daughter. This morning Romeo jumped up to play with Tori and Thumper went crazy. He tried to attack poor Romeo and now Romeo is scared to death of him. I do not think he would ever hurt my daughter and he has never bitten anyone but he does growl at strangers. He seems to be very fearful in the mornings and as the day goes along he relaxes and starts wagging his tail and playing with the whole family. What I am afraid will happen is he will hurt my little girl without even meaning to because if one of the dogs try to come near her he starts snarling and snapping. I am afraid he will accidently snap at her instead of the dogs. On the flip side is such a wonderful dog. He loves to go for walks and car rides. He likes to be carried in a doggie purse. He loves for you to throw his ball and will gladly bring it back to you over and over. He can sit, shake, stay, roll over and play dead (all with hand commands). He rarely has an accident in the house. He loves children (but is maybe too protective of them). He is not nuetered but that might help him calm down. He has only had his first set of puppy shots. He weighs about 4 1/2 pounds. We are looking for the right home and will continue to love and work with him until we find someone to love him like he deserves to be loved. I do think he would be best in a home without other dogs (unless you are really willing to work with his protective streak). We are asking an adoption fee of $200. We are willing to travel part way but would never consider shipping him. If you think you might be able to help this little guy, please send me a message. This is going to break my little girls heart (and mine too). If you can think of any other questions, please ask. I want to be as upfront as possible so Thumper can find a forever home.

| I'm very sorry Thumper hasn't worked out in your home . It was really great of you to rescue him and treat him as well as you are . I'm sure he's very appreciative, and I wish you luck finding him a great forever home, he looks like a sweetie who just needs a little love and the right home

| I am sorry to hear that you have to give him away... I know how much your little girl has become attached to him but I am sure there is a perfect home out there for him! When you first mentioned how he was acting in earlier post I assumed he was abused however I did not want to be a storm clound in your rainbow of wonderful, caring and giving efforts to bring him to a good home. I hope you do not feel too bad about this but take great pride in knowing that you rescued him from people who were not that good to him based even on the fact that he was "sold" at a garage sale. I know THUMPER would thank you if he could, but on your his behalf THANK YOU for caring and rescuing him! :-) Good luck in your search for a new owner as I am sure one will turn up. :-) |

| Oh he is so cute!!!! I think you are right, he needs a home where he is the only four legged friend. Maybe he would like a playmate later in life. But for now he needs all attention on him. I'm sure you will find the right home, I'd take him here, but I live in California, and already have three, not that I would'nt have a fourth, but like I said, he needs to be loved and all the attention on him. That's what would be best for him. I'm sure your daughter will be sad, but someday she will have one of her own, one she picked out that she can train form the start. Please give her a YT hug. I'm sure everyone is sending hugs your way. Thank you for saving him. Your a Yorkies Angel!!!!

| I have a friend that was kinda looking for a yorkie for her mom. I'm not sure whether or not her mom would be able to handle one with problems or not but I can ask her. Her mom does not have any pets she just steals hers when she wants company and she would be home all the time. I'll check with her and see if she'd be interested.

I'm so sorry that things are not going to work out with Thumper. But, at least you tried and you should feel peace in the fact that he is better off with you right now than he was before. If was wonderful of you & your family to rescue him. I'm sure that you won't have a problem in finding him a good home.

| Thumper had a great night last night. He seems to have the most trouble in the morning. I think he should definitely be placed in a home without other dogs (which rules out about everyone on Yorkietalk). Please if you know of anyone looking for a Yorkie to love, send me a message. I know their is a great forever home for Thumper somewhere out there. Thanks everyone.

| I also have a dog that was abused (Graff) and please your soul for rescuing Thumper. Graff found me along side the road. And he came with his own set of problems. He too loves children to death. And everyone in our family is ok. Strangers on the other hand are a totally different story. At least until he gets to know them. He would bite them if given the chance. But since I know that I take precautions and we have worked out fine. I am sure that there is someone out there that can give him the wonderful home that he deserves. I know your daughter is going to be upset but I bet one day she will have her own yorkie to love. Thanks again for getting him out of the situation that he was in and giving him a chance. You truely are an angel. |

| I hope everyone remembers that this is a little guy, 4 1/2 pounds. He has really pretty coloring too! I would love to have him but I have my hands full but want so badly for him to go to someone on here so we can still see the little fellow. Aside from the few issues he has, he has some great plusses! He is very affordable and will make someone very happy I'm sure!!!!

| I'm sorry things aren't working out. Gwen has a lot of issues too, but we're working them out slowly. She really doesn't like the other dogs except Skippy, and trys to bite them, so I have to keep an eye on her when she's around them, and never leave her alone with them. Forget strangers, she always trys to give them a bite on the foot, so I have to put her up when we have company. I'm sure you'll find someone who will love him. Have you tried putting him on petfinder? They give you lot's of room to tell all about the dog under classifieds, and you can even request vet references, or ask any questions you want answered before you let him. go. Hope this helps. |

| You know I wanted Thumper, but if he needs to be an "only child" my home wouldn't be the best for him. Besides, I now have 3 puppies to take care of! I'll ask around about homes though!
