P.F. Chang's...I used to sneak Jeremiah into there...But I stopped because everyone wanted Jane to come too. I miss those days. :p |
The second week of his hospitalization , my brother asked me to see Gioia , so I brought the little one to the hospital . He was in a private room . |
My kids had been at their dad's house for the summer when Deb came to live with me. I was picking them up in Baltimore and wanted them to meet their new little yorkie right away. We spent a few days in Baltimore and she stayed in the hotel. We kept coming back to check on her. The last day we were there, we checked out of the hotel in the morning and decided to go to the AQUARIUM before we left Baltimore. I put her in her new shoulder bag and walked right up to the door. I was nervous when I saw a sign that said ALL BAGS SUBJECT TO SEARCH!! Thankfully they didnt search :) She did great and nobody even knew she was visiting all the fish and sharks :) |
I don’t sneak Bridget into too many places – she always has to announce her presence and give me away. I’m lucky I live in a fairly dog-friendly town and have been able to take her a lot of places, usually in either her open or zip up carrier. Walgreens, Blockbuster, Home Depot, Bank… and believe it or not, even a quick dash into the library. She stayed in her carrier with her kong toy and was very quiet. We recently took a road-trip to Utah together and she was very well received by various places along Route 80! :) |
I don't "sneak" very often becuase I can usually have them anywhere but once I had five and I snuck them into a hotel!!! |
I haven't tried to sneak Susan anywhere, but I am now better able to understand a student I once had. She had a long haired chihauhau (sp?) named Jenny. She took Jenny EVERYWHERE, including Shonie's restaurant and my office. I kept telling her NOT to bring Jenny to my office because first, it was against the rules and second, Jenny hated me and would spend the whole time they were there growling at me. My student was deaf and didn't realize that her precious baby in her cute carrier sounded like she wanted to have my fingers for lunch. But now I understand how my student felt about wanting to have her little dog with her all the time. |
i snuck one of my babies about 5 yrs ago in a soft "purse style" carrier into brenner children's hospital to visit my husband's nephew after he had a terrible seizure that left him disabled due to lack of oxygen to his little brain. the nurse's never saw my baby. i couldn't believe i did it, but i thought it would be good therapy for him to pet a yorkie. |

What a fun thread this has been. There has been a whole lot of Yorkie Sneaking going on and from what I have read a lot of the sneaking was for very good deeds. What better way to help heal than to bring a smile to someone desperately sick!!!! thanks guys, I have really loved reading the responses, and hummmmmm maybe I will be inspired to take my furkids even more places ps. we just got home from a horse sale and once again Peppy was large and in charge and a hit! |
I will take them pretty much anywhere. Heh heh. The mall, walmart, grocery stores, the movies. I've gone in to this one pub a few times after my bf's soccer games, and occasionally to restaurants if I'm out and have one of my little ones already with me - I mean, I can't starve myself just because I have a dog with me! :p I never go anywhere without a dog carrier (purse) though. |
I've taken Gus to church, and to the doctor office. These took some planning. But as always Gus was a good boy and nobody knew he was even there. |
I just saw this thread because Megan hogs the computer! We can't sneak Tucker anywhere becaue he is now 6 and a half pounds and there is no where to hide him! But, I got a service dog patch for him since I have MS. (Not that he's doing well with service training! He barks at the walker and chews everything I drop). Anyway, I love to walk in to stores where the person is soooo snotty and says "You can't bring that dog in here". I flash his service dog patch and say "He's my service dog". Usually they look at him and snort and say "THAT is a service dog?" But they can't stop me so he proudly walks in! |
I have sneaked Mac into church and my sons school. Nothing really daring. Mellie is to vocal to sneak into anywhere. |
