:thumbdown I may color mine, but I would never even think of putting any type of coloring on the babies. They are cute just the way they are. |
What the heck going on ? No sorry not for us either.:thumbdown |
It is illegal in Colorado to dye any animals including baby chicks. Alot of stores dyed chicks right before Easter to help sell them. Our state passed a law against this last year....... Just Say No to dyed animals...... |
No!!! Hell no!!! That would be a negative!! Can't do it!! No way... I don't think sooo..m homey don't play that |
With the caveat that I can't see the video, and that everyone is entitled to their opinion (especially when they agree with me ;)), keep in mind that someone somewhere right now is saying, "I can't believe those people who put little rhinestone collars on their dogs" or "it's so awful when people put dresses on pets". I do think dyeing is silly - I would do it for a giggle - but to me, it's just one more step on the fashion spectrum. Someone in the other thread posted pictures to New York Doggy Fashion week, and there were some really wild outfits, with really wild coloring. I thought it looked very cool, though certainly they were not looks for every day! Also, while I have heard of bunnies and chicks dying after they got a dye job, I want to emhasize again that dog dyes are totally harmless. It's basically giving your dog a bath in colored water, and the color comes out after a few washes. |

 Okay, maybe not the best look for him, ha ha. Thor's getting all kinds of photoshop abuse today! I have this vision of a subtle blue or lavender on his back bringing out the grey... I'm going to have to do it at least once, it's a deep-seated need. |
Living here in Japan.....I have seen it many times, esp in Tokyo. I think its cute, but I would never do it. |
While I probably would never bother to dye my one white dog (lab) I don't think it's a horrible thing if someone were to dye their pet's hair as long as it is done with something safe. And I can't imagine it being a routine thing that someone would do all the time but it's all in fun. |
thanks for the responses, i showed the video to my kid's, and of course they thought it was cute, but at the same time my son said to me, mommie please don't use dye on our dog's, and my reply to him was don't worry, mommie will not be doing that period, its hard enough too keep the hair dye, on my hair. but some dog's that i seen personally are cute and yes, have rainbows going on in their hair, now thats a little too much for me, but to each their own. i guess if it makes the owner's happy, then i say oh well, okay people i'm lost for word's here,lol........... |

We did it on Barbie (Maltese) for Halloween one year, but I used the same thing that my little girl put in her hair, the only thing is, it comes off everywhere!! My Pants was pink by the end of the night. But it was the stuff that washes out, so that was good. Barbie loves all the people coming up to her. We took her to the retirement home. They loved her as much as she loved them. |
Oh my! That poor pup looked like walking cotton candy! lol.. Cute, but I don't think Chloe will be getting dyed any time soon (or ever). |
