It looks beautiful!! My mo was from England she lived in Stoke on Trent, Staffs until she was 28 and came to the US. |
Aww...how nice of you to take him back to his roots! Ironically, I have friends who live in Derby and are going to Yorkshire on holiday this weekend. Perhaps your paths will cross? Can't wait to see the pics. |
Oh, what could be better then a Yorkie running free in the "wilds of Yorkshire". ;) What could be better? A pack of 'em running wild! My gang would be beside themselves with all the smells and sights. And quite in their element. Although Gracie Ruth allows me to occasionally dress her up,(a true testament to this breeds love of their people) her true like is to be a' la naturel. Feeling the wind in her hair and finding something good and stinky to roll in. :p Boo is the best tracker I've had in a long time. He'll catch scent of something and it's all you can do to contain him. :dogwalk: I know I'm just one of many that wish we could join you on this amazing trip. Enjoy it, as I know you will. And yes, please post many, many pictures when you return. It will be the closest I will get to ever seeing it. :) |

I was about to tear up too. What a lucky little Yorkshire to get to go to Yorkshire:p That trip sounds amazing. Wish I were going too. The country side is magnificent. Have a wonderful and safe trip to both of you. Can't wait to see the beautiful pictures you will be taking. The air must be so clean. Lucky little ducky he is. |
Sorry to dissapoint you all No pics In fact no trip Got about 50 miles into journey and the front suspension coil spring broke on my van Ended up getting the tow truck to get me home I am making plans to go again soon, I think I will take my car next time and a tent, as hardly anywhere to stay with a dog. My aunt was more dissapointed as she lives alone Alfie enjoyed the adventure though, he loved sitting high up on the front seat of the tow truck, just glad he didn,t know where we were going, otherwise he would have sulked on me |

Sorry you didn't get to go on the trip too! I was looking forward to the pictures. Like many of the American readers I understand "meet your maker" to mean meeting God as in dying. So I wanted to tell you another funny one from a client I have from South Africa. When talking about the unexpected frost we had last month she said she "had to bring in all her pot plants" the night before to save them from the frost. I had to explain that she should learn to say 'potted plants' as pot plants are marijuana in the states lol! Otherwise that would be a bad story to tell at the P.T.A. (parent/teacher meetings at school) |
