They were probably just jealous! People are so cruel and annoying. |
OP & sandyapk...these old coots do NOT know style & suck at the fine art of haute couture!!!! Nuff said...... |
I bet Thor looked cute.. I live a little north of San Francisco and when I take Buttons on his walk tonight I am putting him in his Camo raincoat. And I could care less what people think, he's dry and comfy and when we get home he doesn't smell like a wet dog. I bet the lady that yelled wouldn't give a second look at the guy in chaps (with a g-string)and black vest I saw the other day. What a site. But it is the City. |
awww, it sounds like he looked adorable! Don't listen to that crazy women! Usually ppl that call eachother such mean things like that have something going really wrong in their own lifes, and she was probably trying to make yours just as bad by calling you mean names like that!! She is the stupid women!!!!! |
Awwwww i bet he was cute!!! Everyone here ooo awwws over what my doggies are wearing!!! They poke their heads over the fence daily to see if they are wearing something new!!! Sounds like people over there arent quite as dog loving :thumbdown |
Where is our picture? |
Sounds cute to me! I do have to admit though, before I got Roxie I always thought it was silly for people to dress their dogs in clothes but I didn't think anything of a bandana. Then I got Roxie. I eat those thoughts because now I make her clothes. An even more funny thing is even the guys in my house think she looks so cute all dressed up. She prances around for them when they tell her how pretty she is. She loves the attention. This woman was very rude to express her thoughts to you in that manner. I see all of the pics on here and I want more for her. It's just adorable to me now to dress her up and have matching bows in her hair. Those are people who just don't understand the joys of having a yorkie!! |
I have to agree with Roxies Mom....before I got my yorkies...I did think it was silly to dress dogs up....and I even kidded my sister a bit... (yes I do feel bad about that..lol) However as soon as I was won over by the absolute darling personalities of the Yorkie breed and got my own.(well now I have 2).....I started dressing them IMMEDIATELY!!! So I guess we just have to keep in mind...that not EVERYONE will agree with our choice to keep our babies warm, and dry, etc....so we have to have thicker skin....and not let anything RUDE people might say bother us!!! :) I can't wait to see Thor in his raincoat and boots!! lol :D |
I really want to see a pic!!! I bet he was adorable! The next time someone says something about dressing Thor up, give them my number!!! Yorkies don't have undercoats like most dogs. It would be like us walking in the rain and not covering our heads! Thor would've been wet and cold and probably would have gotten sick! That lady was just plain ignorant!!! People like that don't like people like me...I would have loved to have been there!!!:p |

But seriously, Thor is your baby and it's your prerogative. Initially when we got Tucker we were of the "dogs don't wear clothes" mindset but (a) it gets cold in Massachusetts and (b) Tucker has severe allergies so if we don't keep him clothed, he'll shred himself to pieces. I can't help it if he looks adorable in the process of helping to maintain his quality of life! Shrug them off, it's not worth it! |
Oh, please..... People give me the Hairy Eyeball when they see Amelia in a pink sweater and a bow. It's 30 degrees. She'll freeze if she isn't wearing something. My mom almost got her a little yellow ducky raincoat and boots last week. :) And it counts on who's IN the chaps...... ;) |

ok look I vote for the chainmalls and butless chaps lol they might not object to that ...;) ps I don't know what chainmalls are hehe:cool: |
I bet Thor looked very cute and it sounds like he was proud of his outfit. My guess is the glares were glares of jealousy, Thor was better dresssed. |
