She is beautiful.. |
So the BYB is going to get her spayed and pay for it herself, then sell her to you? And someone said in this thread that it's more dangerous to spay a prego dog than one who is not pregnant... How much more dangerous? And how far along is she at this point? Poor little pup... |

Everyone keep your fingers crossed for me. |
Finger's crossed for you. She is such a little beauty. I hope she does accept your offer so this little one can get into the right hands. Will watch for an update. |
I hope all works out for this little girl. Good luck! |
Sounds like a very good idea on your part. I'd much rather my vet do it as well. Maybe the byb will go for it as she won't have to pay for and deal with the spay. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you both. I know nothing about a shot for pg dogs...sorry! PS: She's a doll!!!! |
Update! Well, she turned down my offer.:(....she's going to have her fixed and add the cost when she advertises her again. My heart is so sad, but, my head says things work out for a reason. Having a 14 lb, 10 lb, 8.5 lb & two 7.5 lbers already might be a bit much for a 2 lber anyway. |

I feel for you, I know how much you would like to get her. Actually if she's full blooded, the price isn't bad at all |
You have inspired me! :D I haven't give up yet......another question though, and maybe I'll go to the breeder section; she gives the shots herself; is this ok, or common for breeders to do? |
She sounds like she really cares for the future of the little one. She may be worried that you are going to take the pups to term. Maybe your vet could call her re: the spay. |

I'm glad that you haven't given up. I was a little disheartened when I read that she didn't accept your offer and you were just going to let it go. I wouldn't let the size of your other dogs be the reason that you don't pursue this little beauty. I have a 20 lbs dog who does incredibly well with my little 3 lb Missy. I really hope you and that breeder can work something out. I think this little one needs to be with someone who truly cares about her. |
DId she give you a reason why she turned down your offer? I'd keep trying to communicate with her. The Yorkie she has is beautiful. What is she loooking for in a new owner? Let her know that you will provide her with anything she requests to prove to her that the yorkie will be in a wonderful, new , and forever home. You know about Yorkie's your familiar with the breed, what else could she possibly want? Is it the money? Maybe that's it? She's trying to sell her Yorkie for a better offer? i'd really keep trying with the lady. This Yorkie deserves a really good home. |

Oh Linda, what a crazy situation to be in. I can see why you're already emotionally attached to the little girl. She is so precious in her pictures. I'm concerned about the little 2lb baby though. I think it's so risky to put a small baby under anethesia... but I guess if she is pregnant, then the risk is pregnancy is worse...??? My heart goes out to the little baby girl, and to you because I know you care for her now. As painful as it is, just let the breeder do what she has to do, and let the puppy go. You can always call her up later to ask how the puppy is doing. Then at that time, if you feel in your heart that you still want her, then go for it. ;) |
