Yorkies and uncut grass

In the mornings, I take Brandi out to my backyard to go potty. Because of the weather, the guy who cuts my grass every summer has not been able to cut my grass as of yet so as a result, my grass is starting to get a little high. About 3 days ago, I started noticing Brandi would not go potty out back. At first I thought she didn't have to used the potty.

Then I walked her up the street to one of the fields which is a common area in our housing division which of course has not been cut either. My HOA takes care of the common areas. Anyway I walked Brandi to one of these common areas and she potty on the sidewalk. At first I thought she just couldn't hold it. Then it happened again.....that's when it darn on me that she doesn't like to go in tall grass to potty

Getting her to poop is now an ordeal. I have to wait forever until she can find a low patch of grass. I have to take her to a patch of grass that isnt very high before she will poop . Standing outside in the rain and cold at night is getting old. Somebody please shoot old man winter
