Snugglers?? Okay so I already have Leo, my nearly three-year-old Shih (why do I always type a 't' at the end instead of an 'h'???) Tzu. But I get my Lolly (Yorkie) at the beginning of May. Leo does NOT like to snuggle, sit on my lap, NOTHING!!!!! This makes me so sad!!! So, are your Yorkies snugglers?? I realize every dog is different, no matter the breed, but I need some reassurance here! I want someone to snuggle me! :D |
Aww CONGRATS on your new baby soon!!! Peanut LOVES to snuggle....thats his middle name :D He sits on me anytime he can, lay with me on the couch, at night he curls under my neck, but I get to hot with him so I move him and put him against my belly....My friend has a girl yorkie and she says that she is a snuggle bug as well!!! So I think you will be in luck!! From what I know of yorkies they are really loving :rolleyes: |
Tobie is a snuggler when he wants to be and when I want to snuggle with him he won't let me, it just depends on his mood. |
Actually, all of mine are snugglers. But, it's always on THEIR terms. They decide when they're in the mood to play, or wrestle, or eat, or snuggle, etc. It doesn't matter to them when mommy's in the mood for a little cuddling. |
My boys are all snugglers. Lola just wants a quick hug and then she is off running... |
;) Bella is not much of a snuggler, she does get her days tho when she likes to sit on my lap or lick me to smithers :) She is lovable in her own way. I think she might get more snuggly when she gets older coz she is only 5 months old now and is in play mode most of the time! |

My Fletcher is not a snuggler too much, he's got OCD or something... neurosis maybe.. he's always up and investigating EVERYTHING! My Dexter is SUCH a cuddler that I think it might even go beyond cuddling. He curls up on my shoulder like a newborn baby would. Its his favorite place to be! Its just the SWEETEST thing EVER!! If my girlfriend ever uploads pics I'll post them and you can see. Noone I know has ever seen a dog do what he does. :) Its awesome! :) |
Suzi is a snuggler :) She wants to be close to me every time I watch TV, and it is bedtime. She is on the bed with me. She knows my routine very well! All dogs have their own temperments just like people. It is hard to know what they are going to be like. But Suzi certainly is a sweetheart. Sometimes though, they can be too clingy ;) |
Squirt, my older one, never was a snuggler or a lap dog. He did love playing with the kids, & always tried to be in the center of their activities. I viewed him as Pinocchio like. Gus, my younger one, is a couch potato, snuggler & a lap dog. So, I think it depends on the dog, or maybe the younger generation are snugglers. |
Sam did not allow snuggling when he was little. He had way tooooo much other stuff to do. Now that he has gotten older (turned 2 in Nov), he does snuggle especially in the mornings. We lay in bed and I sing, I lub your ears, I lub your tummy, I lub your stinky lil butt, and I lub your toes but most of all I lub your lil black nose. He really snuggles when I sing that. |

Jackson is not a huge snuggler. Whenever I try, he usually tries to get out of my arms. I don't know if it's because he's still young or if it's just his personality. He CAN be a snuggler at certain times. Like, at night time in the middle of the night, sometimes he will inch his way as close to me as possible. It all depends on his mood! Or if I'm watching TV on the couch, he will rest his head on my lap. |

Baxter is not a snuggler. The pom that I had was a snuggler so it has been hard to get used to Baxter not being one. However, 2 weeks ago I was very sick and he'd laid by my side all day. |
Molly is very affectionate.......unless she's grouchy [usually when she's really tired, but dosent' want to sleep]. She loves being held like a baby. She has enough trust in My husband and I, that when she throws herself back, we'll be ready to support her neck. lol. And at bedtime, after having enough of her belly rubbed, she goes to the end of the bed on her blankie to sleep, but by the middle of the night she's behind my back, on her side, with her head on my pillow. It's so cute! :p |

awww cute thread!! What is so funny is that Daizy only snuggled on her terms when I first got her....BUT things changed quite drastically after we got our snuggle bunny Tulip!! I guess Daizy's jealousy...drove her to SNUGGLE!! Now she snuggles with me every chance she gets....BONUS!! Now we have 2 snugglers!!! |
Noelle is a snuggler and I love it!:) When I pick her up she gives lots of kisses and lays her darling little head on my shoulder with her neck against mine! Melts my heart!! She also will just jump on my lap with a toy or snuggle close to me.:love: |
Elvis is my little lover boy. Always on my lap or laying right beside me. When I'm getting ready for bed, he waits on the bed for me to get in so he can then crawl onto my lap and chew on his feet before he relaxes and goes to sleep while I read my book. Then I will guide him to his bed (at the foot of our bed on the bed) and he gets in it and sleeps there all night and also sleeps in with me, no matter how long I sleep, he's right there. Now Honey Willow, on the other hand, is just beginning to relax enough around us (we've had her two months) to lay on our laps, but the least little noise or movement we do, she jumps and wants to get down. We have to keep working on her. :) |
When Bailey was a puppy, she'd sleep at the foot of my chair. As she got older (about 8 mos) she started crawling into my lap. Now she cuddles, cuddles and cuddles some more. She's our lover girl!!! :) |

I have a snuggle bug too! He sleeps curled up right next to me, and always has to be touching mommy in some way while we're sleeping. In the morning as soon as my alarm goes off he crawls up on my chest and nuzzles into my neck with his head to say good morning! I love that. :wub: |

I guess it just depends on that particular dog's personality. I have a cocker spaniel that I love dearly, she is 11 years old. But she is not snuggler, never has been. One of the reasons I wanted a yorkie was because I wanted a cuddly dog. I can honestly say that all my yorkie kids are snugglers, they love being in your lap. |
