I donīt like pee pads in the house because it can smelling. Both boys were paper trained as I got them. Zorro learned quickly to go outside for potty and yet he gives us signs if he must go outside. But Rambo who is very intelligent donīt want to learn it. We go for a walk and he pees and poops outside. But he does this in the house too! It can happen that I go outside with both boys and 1 hour after I find pee on the floor and I know it was only Rambo. Now he donīt want use paper too. So I buyed a "boy pant" but this only works for peeing and not for pooping. And I hate it to be angry with him so I say nothing and clean the floor after peeing because I donīt want that my little boy is afraid of me. Oh and Zorro only uses grass for potty. |
Wrigley mainly uses pee pee pads. Camden will NOT pee on pads, but she will poop! No idea what is up with that! She loves being outside! Crosley only goes outside! |
I trained Oliver and Brooklyn on the potty pads (paper) when they were little...as they got older they both learned to use the doggie door and now they go out to potty...we also have a large fenced yard...Benjamin is being trained the same way...he is too young for the doggie door and is not fully vaccinated.:) |
Madison uses pee pads for now. |
My new baby comes home in a week and I plan on training him outdoors. I have a fully fenced yard. I see no reason to even start on the pads when it's not manditory for my lifestyle. (I.E.: apartment living.) |
Both of mine go outside. Rain is sometimes an issue but I never did the pee pads. |
Hi..I mostly take my girls outside. They go in the yard and on walks when it's isn't too cold here in Alberta for them. We are north of you in Calgary you know..h ha..:D I do have pee pads too at the back kitchen door but only our yougest Lindi uses this now from time to time. :animal36 |
I got Tucker in December, and had surgery in January. I use pee pads. When he's on a walk, he will occasionally pee outside. He's tiny, and I wouldn't let him out without a harness and a leash. |
When I got Chester I trained him on pee pads (because I wasn't allowed to have pets in my apt;)). When we moved a month later, we transitioned to going outside. Now he goes outside all the time. I honestly don't think he would ever go on a pee pad again. When it rains really hard out I put a pad out just in case, but he never uses it. He'll just hold it until the rain lets up a bit and I can take him out. |
My adult dogs go out, but I have pee pads by the back door for when I am gone and when it rains non-stop for days like it has been. The baby puppies of course have a pen covered in pee pads. That is why I was looking for bulk pee pads. :) |
Zeus has been trained to go outside since we brought him home at 9 wks old. Going out in the middle of the night in January was not fun but he learned to make it fast because he was so cold!:animal-pa |
Silvia's paws hardly ever touch the grass. She has used a litter box since she was 10 weeks old and she's now four and a half years old. It's been a very easy solution for me and I love it! |
My Yorkie goes potty on washable pads and outside in the backyard. Early in the morning, after he eats, and before he goes to sleep at night he goes potty outside in the backyard. If I am watching TV in the living room, I let him go potty outside, because the backdoor is located in the same room. The other times he goes potty on the washable pads. When it rains, he goes potty on the washable pads. I use the pads when my dog needs to potty at inconvenient times throughout the day (work and nighttime). |

Noelle goes outside. I wish she could do both though because when we had a lot of snow, I had to shovel a spot for her to go! I tried to get her to use the pad but she took it and ran around the house with it. |
I take my fur baby outside, and she loves getting to play in the yard with the cats!!!!! |
Snow is gone 1 Attachment(s) This will maake it easier, Zipper loves to play outside and we have just lost the last of the snow. I am hoping by keeping him out longer he will start to ask to go out. Let's face until they do it us who is trained! Zipper love our fish pond and now that the ice is gone likes to peer into the water. Unfortunately some of the fish are 3x the size of him and he is fascinated by watching them. Now I will worry about him falling in! |
All five of mine go outside.... |
Mine goes outside also, she never wanted to use the pee pads. |
All my adults and puppies go outside and inside on pee pads . |
Definitely outside, although we have a 'dog room' in our house. (It's actually a sunroom, but it's our bigger dogs' bedroom.) When she is in there, I do put a pee pad down. |
Sapphire uses a pee pad all the time. I think it would just be to hard for her to go outside all the time... It gets cold during the winter and hot during the summer. So she stays inside most of the time where it's comfortable. Just like her mommy. :D |
Both if my Yorkies use the potty pads. We live in the country so they cannot go out by themselves. If we are outside and they need to potty they will but 99% of the time it is in the house on their potty pads. My other 4 dogs all go outside. |
i prefer outside, and zoe loves it too |
I have one, and she is litterbox trained. She's four and a half years old and we plan to use the litterbox for the rest of her life. |

LOL That is exactly how my two arel Skeeter/Mo - Adie/Mayzie! LOL |
Pebbles goes outside. Can't wait until the weather is nicer because when it is a sunny day I hardly have any accidents. :) |
Lola love's both the pee pads and going outside when were on walks! I live in a condo with no yard and only a patio. So the pads r more convenient for her and myself, hence the website I started. :) My goal is to train her to use the pee pad on the patio but I have to invest in a sliding door insert first! |
Mine does both. She will go outside, but I also keep a pee pad down near the door. She usually uses it during the night or in case of bad weather. |
