Jasper is only 13 wks. but he already knows "time to eat".He goes nuts!My Tinkerbell if I say "bedtime" she goes running to the cage.Onyx ugh...nothing he is pretty mellow. |
Well the word's bye bye, and treat, or here comes..... those get them but the funniest is when Chewy sees me bring a bath towel into the kitchen. He goes running and tries to hide because he knows there's a bath in the works. I can't believe he knows just from a simple bath towel!!!! To smart. |
Mostly outside depending on the weather. I spend a lot of time with them. Some of their tricks they have done on their own & I put a name to it when they do it & they now do it when I tell them too. Yep, having all of my babies is a lot of work, but I enjoy them soooo much. Having my own grooming buisness sure helps, with all the cute cuts I give them too. |
Four things I can say to get SophieKate going are; 1. Go bye bye 2. Where's Avery (the cat) 3. Night night (she heads to the bedroom) 4. Where's Chewy (Chewy is her pink loofah dog) |
at our house we have to spell Treat Puppy Kitty Bunny |
Outside and car seem to do the trick. My Chester knows the sound of my horn when I lock my car door when I get home. He will go paw at the door and DF will open the sliding glass door so he can go on the balcony and watch me. He'll stick his head through the slats and in a high pitched voice I'll say, "Hi Chessie!" He'll run to the front door barking and yipping running circles, then back out to the balcony. (It's a bit of a walk.) Then I'll say, again in a high pitched voice, "Chessie!! Did you miss your momma?" Same thing, right to the front door yipping and barking and running around like a nut. When I get inside, DF will open the door and Chester will come running down the long hallway faster than a speeding bullet and run a circle around me and then run back inside the apt, then come back out and repeat until I get inside. I love him! :) |
Food, walk, treat, daddy, outside, doggy, park,.. |
One mention of treat and he forgets everything else. Bath sends him running! |
Ball, Bye Bye, Outside, Food/Treat, Kitty, Ready for Bed?, are a few that get them going crazy. When you say ball to Destiny she goes nuts!! She sure does love her ball!! |
If I look at Triss and say "What's that?" she goes NUTS and starts barking at the front door! And whenever I say "Its mine" she runs and gets a toy, lol. |
Get the Birdie! (useful since we live in a highrise - he chases all the pigeons away!) Where's daddy? (he will go smack my husband's shoes around looking for him) Brush (he looooves his brushing time before bed - he'll stare intently at the drawer his brush is in, willing it to come out) and on the flip side..."we're going to the store" sends him straight to his bed in the bedroom to await our return. We're mystified by this since we never outright taught him that...he just figured it out! |
The biggest one at my house is "outside." They go crazy. LOL |
Fetch!!! |
WALK! Even if it's in a sentence that has nothing to do with going for a walk. We have resorted to spelling it backwards or using an alternative, like stroll, but even then, we have slips and say it and they all go psycho, lol. |
It's funny b/c as i'm sitting her "browsing" YT and bailey is sound asleep next to me. Every once and awhile my BF and I will have talk about different things. If we use "key" words, he will jump up barking, it doesn't matter how sound of a sleep he was just in! He's a little stinker! :) |
"What time is it?".....say this to KiKi and she will jump up and spin around...then say "tell me" and she will bark....this is a daily ritual we go through at snack/treat time....every night around the same time...we ask..."What time is it".....then we ask do you want a treat? Tell me....and she will bark!! Luckily this is the only time she ever barks..so it's funny to get her going..LOL Another one though is "Grandma"...if she hears the word grandma...she will whine like a baby.....it's so funny...She loves to go to grandma's house.... |

That's so funny Sandy. That's how I came up with this thread because I used the word "Coming" in a sentenace by saying "Spring is Coming" and Buddy went off the wall then I realized I used the word that drives him crazy.:p They are all just tooooooooo smart for their own butts! |
I have thoroughly enjoyed reading all of the Yorkie Buzz Words. Thank you Carol for starting this thread! If I want to get everyone's attention here all I have to say is the NON-WORD Uwanna? (followed by chew, eat, cookie) Hummmmm I guess my guys have oral fixations |

Squirrel is the #1 and then no word... just have to get my purse. All three will bark, growl and play fight each other. All this is done at my feet. |
At our house it's -where's the fly? and then OK in a certain tone of voice, it could mean going into the living room to watch TV or to bed if in the living room. They all bounce around like balls!! it's the funniest thing..:D |
Mines: *Where's that pussycat? (she chases after cats) *Helloooo (in the morning she goes crazy) *MOUSE!!!! (she goes mouse-hunting in the duvet lol) xXx |
I can not say to bingo " Wanna go Buh Bye" or " Where is ur leash" he go's nuts the same way he go's to window to window on the couch's cry's gives his paw go's by the door he get's me paniacy he get's very excited and wild and when I dont go he yell's at me lol |
Cat, duck, outside, or Flash will generally unhinge mine. Expecially Trixie, who would assume rip a cat to pieces than look at it. |
