Maddy is nut. She will eat her food one teeny piece at a time. Sometimes, she will a make a game out of meal time by tossing a piece of food across the floor and attacking it!! She rolls about on the carpet like a spaz after bath time. She steals pieces of our Chow's food and then RUNS back to her dish and pretends she is eating her food. haha |
oh, and also, she pee's ALOT! When we go outside she constantly finds new places to pee...it looks like she's marking her territory...she even lifts one leg up. I've never seen a female dog do this. And she gets super-excited when she see's a cat. She runs straight up to them with her tail wagging, and if she gets to them before they run away, she'll try to lick them. haha! but then the definitely run away...and she just stands there confused...poor thing. lol. |
Silvia will tattle on herself if she has an accident in the house. She will come sit where I can see her and bow her head in shame, looking up with those sad puppy eyes. I'll ask her, "what did you do?" and she will just turn around and walk me right to where she had the accident!! I almost feel too bad to get onto her........almost! :D |
I love when Lola gets stiff and sits low to the grown and Pablo is not far from her staring and stalking then all of a sudden, WHAM, here goes the ZOOMIES. |
Love this thread. :D When Thor gets excited, he goes into an army crawl. He will pull himself the entire length of my carpet, then turn himself around and go back. He looks like a small, furry submarine. He's too shy to play bow to most dogs, so if he likes them, he army crawls in front of them. |
funny things... Our 4 year old yorkie Sachie loves our 9 year old black lab Abbey. They get along so well. The lab practically mothers Sachie. They play, sleep and eat together and they have never had a problem. However--just don't ring our doorbell. When someone does ring it, both dogs run to the front door to bark, and then Sachie barks at Abbey (not the person at the door mind you) and then bites Abbey's butt and literally hangs off of her with her feet dangling (imagine a 3 lb. Yorkie swinging from a 56 lb. dog's rump). Abbey just kinda looks at her like she is nuts, but geesh...I'm afraid one day Abbey is going snap at her! I don't know if it is funny, but it certainly is peculiar behavior! Hmmmm...maybe I need to call the Dog Whisperer! |
My beloved Fancy smiled. Not the opened mouth grin like some dogs, not a biting look grimace, but a full fledged teeth showing smile. Her eyes would crinkle and sparkle and she gave a most human smile. It wasn't just that she smiled, but when she smiled. I could just look at her and smile, then she would smile back. I would tell her that I loved her and she would smile. When she lost her eyesight at age 4, she began to smile less because she couldn't see us smiling at her. For a long time she would smile at me when I held her, talked to her and told her I loved her. At about 10 she quit smiling. I think she forgot how to do it because she didn't see the reinforcement of an exchanged smile. I miss her smile. |
Oh my goodness..that is such a sweet yet sad story! |
Oh my, Bailey will sit on the couch holding his baby and if it falls to the floor, he'll paw at the couch (while huffing to get our attention) until one of the HUMANS pics it up... If he wants to play and no one is paying attention to him, he'll go and start eating one of my two carpets, or scratching it b/c he knows mommy and daddy don't like it and when we tell him to stop he starts barking at us (as if he's talking back). He's got us wrapped around his paw. Oh and the best is when he's in OUR bed sleeping and if WE move in our sleep and disturb him, he'll groan or growl (not a mean growl) and huff and puff. He'll eventually jump off the bed and go sleep in his own bed but always ends up back on our bed in the morning for morning hugs and kisses. :) |
These stories are funny! Fancy's story is so so sweet...so much love. One silly thing Johnny does is hold one toy in his mouth and swat another around with his feet. Guess he can't make up his mind about the one he wants. |
