Stolen yorkie pups So listen to this story. One of the ladies I work with has an 18 year old daughter. Daughter was at her boyfriends house last week and they get to talking to the boy who lives next door...also 18 yrs old. The boy says he is selling yorkie pups but will GIVE one to them. So she brings it home and they were all excited. The lady I work with brings it into work for all to see. This puppy could have not been older than 5 weeks old!! I explain to her about resposible breeders, etc. She said the pup was eating hard food oddly enough but they were still bottle feeding it. Fast forward a little bit.... I go into work today and hear that she was all upset yesterday at work. I asked what happened and she explains to me that the puppy was stolen! The boy that her daughter go it from stole it from the other neighbors back yard and when the neighbor found out it was him the boy was of course arrested and most of the puppies were located and brought back. There was 8 in the litter and 4 were stolen...1 could not be located and returned to the momma and owners though :( My friend from work and her daughter who had no idea they were stolen are heartbroken, they had her for a week and has no idea they were stolen. They are going to go to the original owners house and ask if the can buy the puppy when she is old enough... I was shocked by this story so I just has to share. |
 omg how awful |
That is sad the puppies had to go through that but what were puppies that young doing in a back yard unattended? It does make me wonder. |
I know! Thats what the lady from work said. Now she really want to get it oo since she knew they kept it in the backyard. |
What the heck? I hope that one that couldn't be found survived and is in a warm home right now. You gotta think that maybe it didn't make it though. I don't think I will even tell anyone that I have pups at all. You just never know do you? There are so many people that just see something they want and take it, like it was theirs or something. About a year ago my mother-in-law had a renter with a SUPER-tiny 1.5 lbs Yorkie. She lived alone and really loved the little thing. She put it out to go potty in her yard one summer afternoon and went inside to answer the phone and when she went out a few minutes later the little thing was gone. It had to be a neighbor too because every sign she put up in the neighborhood got tore down! That is sad to hear, you can't even trust your neighbors. |
How tragic . These babies should have never been left out in the backyard with their mother. :thumbdown |
Wow. I don't even know what to say! |
That is awful... |
when we bought Samson a puppy had been stolen by the breeder just days before. I had called the breeder and she answered the phone in tears, told me she couldn't talk and would call me back. She explained that someone had come over to see the puppies and when she left the room to get some papers the person walked out of the home with one of the puppies. When we got Samson a week later the puppy had not been found. She was very upset about the whole incident. It was very sad. |

How awful and heartbreaking! It astonishes me how cold hearted some people can be! Unfortunately, puppy (dog) theft seems to be increasing from what I have been reading lately! |
How sad for these little pups they must have been so traumatized being taken from their mom at five weeks. This could affect them emotionally for some time to come. I feel just terrible about the pup that was not found. I hope and pray that this one is okay though. |
