Today is the Day!
 

I am posting this from work right now because I just can't contain my excitement any longer.

At 6 tonight I get to go pick up my baby! This is my first yorkie ever and really my first puppy for 15 years.

(I also have cause to celebrate that this is my last day of work before 5 weeks off!)

So as soon as I pick up Bailey I get 5 weeks to do nothing but love on her.

I will try to take loads of photos and maybe a video or two in the next couple days and then post again! :D :animal36

That is so exciting!! :D And you get 5 weeks off to spend with her?! That is amazing :)

Make sure you take lots of pictures and videos... You will love to look at them when she grows up! Have lots of fun!

Awwwwww I bet you are really excited!!! I remember having those feelings being at work and waiting for it to end. I too named my little one Bailey (excepy mines a boy). I could hardly contain my excitement and I didn't have anyone to share it with b/c I didn't know about YT. Congrats on your little baby!!! Shower her with lots and lots of love (as i'm sure you will) and please post lots of pics and maybe a video or two ;). Hugs!

awww...How exciting! I remember my first day of having Libbie...I took that day off. (It was a friday) But I couldn't afford taking off a whole 5 weeks... You are soOoOoOoooo LUCKY you get to spend all that time with her. :D Best of luck. They grow SUPER fast and they are super adorable. :p

Haha, no I teach at a year round school and April is my off track month. :D

Thanks everyone! She's here now and she's just so precious! She is a little bid timid but doing great. She hasn't wimpered once. She is currently fast asleep.

So far potty training is not off to the best start. I had heard I should take her straight outside until she goes potty before letting her come in the house, but my backyard is just dirt and she'd never been outside so she just stood there nervously. It was a little cold so I took her in. I had 2 potty pads around but they must smell different than the ones the breeder used because she sniffed them but then went somewhere else. :p

I am such a nervous mommy. I'm kind of unsure what to do. I'm worried about bedtime and what I should do. I would love to let her sleep on the bed with me but I'm afraid of accidents or her falling off. I think I'll probably crate her tonight. She went in the crate a couple times and seems to like it. Hopefully tomorrow we can both relax and get into a routine.

As for my cat, she was very unsure about thit little puppy. She watched her from behind the gate, but I was very proud of her for not hissing at all. Will see what happens when I put her in the crate in my bedroom though, since Rory (my cat) always sleeps on the bed with me.

I had the same problem. My baby boy was trained on pee pads. I put one outside and that seemed to help get him used to going outside. We did it for about 2wks. Then the pee pad disappeared. He did great! Congradulations on your new baby girl!:p

Decided to check in & see if pics posted & awwwww...she's so Adorable! What I did the first nite was to elevate her crate on a tray table to the height of the bed beside me!:D It was probably more me than her....lol!:p Anyway, she seemed comforted to be able to see me! Have FUN with yr sweet Adorable little Bailey!!
