WHAT part of do NOT cut the length of my dog's hair AT ALL did you NOT understand Miss Groomer lady??????


My favorite feature on Mika is the hair on both sides of her face. It meets, or MET in the prettiest little peak.

I was VERY specific.......

Trim the hair between their noses, the ears, the pads of the feet, and around the booty.....DO NOT cut the length of my dog's hair ANYWHERE I am trying to get it to drop to the ground.........IT WILL TAKE MONTHS FOR THIS TO GROW BACK....I'm FURIOUS!! (can you tell?)

Oh no!!! I'm sure she is still adorable and I'm sorry your groomer didn't listen :( Would still love to see pics of your girl though :)

I hope you let her know just how angry you are! You told her, and she still did this? that is ridiculous!:mad: Don't go back to her ever again.

OK here is a picture of Mika with her pretty peaks, but this is a loaner computer I am on and it won't read my card reader so I can show you what she did, but she cut it straight across even and Mika now looks like a Scotsman :mad::thumbdown:mad::thumbdown:mad::thumbdown:eek: :eek::cry::angry:

I asked her not to cut those d*** bang because I want her hair to all grow out so I can pull it all back into her top knot, and what did she do???? Cut even more.

I am DONE with that place.. THis damage is going to take months to repair......I want my baby to be pretty and look like a proper yorkie....Funny thing is she didn't do these things to Maya...thank GOD!!!!!!!!!!!

I learned how to shave and trim around the tips of the ears and around the paws. I can't do their nails by myself either but a lot of groomers will allow you to walk in and have just nails trimmed. Maybe you can find someone to show you how to do the basics. It's not hard with a little practice and then you get it how you want it

I can't believe that idiot did not even listen to your specific instructions. These guys are so expensive to get cut, you would think they were a little professional. What is wrong with people. I am really mad for you. Groomers are not my favorite people because of what they did to my poor little Coco. (completely cut off part of his ear!!:eek: ck my album) What the heck is wrong with these people. Do you have to stand over them with a stick!! IDIOTS!!!:mad: I'm so sorry this went wrong for your little baby. I know how long it takes to grow it back ...like...forever!!

Ok funny thing was I met a neighbor the other day who stopped to admire the girls in their new dresses from TICKED PINK (love them), and she is a groomer. The place she works at is much closer than the one I was going to.

I just got off the phone with her and told her what happened and she assures me that this will NOT happen with her. They also do their anal glands there, so I am going to try her out in 6 weeks or so.

I am SO Done with groomers! I dont trust them at all!!! I need to figure out a plan so that i can get her hair cut without dropping Bella off with some stranger....

I know how you feel!! The groomer cut off the hair and I could not believe it!! I did their groom for the first time yesterday and it was not so bad. I was more nervous then my babies were. Alot cheaper to do it at home and you can have it the way you want!!! Give it a try!!!

Well hopefully I have one now that I can communicate with. She says this is why are her place the customer and the groomer talk to each other, no go-between. I like that.

Thank God the hair will grow back and I know, even with the haircut mishap, I'm sure she is absolutely beautiful. I have never taken Prince to a groomer for his hair because of stories such as this. (Plus he is terrified!!!!) They work for you...you pay them. What was she thinking? What if your puppy was going to be in a show, or something??? Did you speak with the manager, yet? I was going to mention about someone's baby having his ear partial cut off, but then I saw the previous post. I am so sorry. I was thinking about taking a grooming class so I can do everything myself. I do have to take Prince to his vet to get his nails cut.

I didn't bother because I am sure the best I would get is something off "the next time", but there WILL NOT BE A NEXT TIME with these people.

I had this same problem the last time I had my kids groomed. This was back before Christmas. I said "don't cut the body just do details" and when she called for me to pick them up she said "I can't remember what we said so I cut them" AHHHHH!!! They came out looking like schnauzers! I am now grooming them myself. I am tired of groomers not listening to me.

I won't trim their nails but my vet will do it for 7 bucks. That is worth it to me. I am a little nervous about doing their pads and ears. But I'm sure gonna give it a try.

I'm sorry that this happened to you and Mika. It's really maddening when your instructions are followed. Thank goodness it will grow back though.

OH! I have been growing my boys hair for 9 months now. I would have been so mad:mad:.. I don't take my boy to a groomer anymore after he was cut badly. I do my own grooming and since his hair is long the grooming really is easy. :D
