oneies for puppy Just bought some for Abbey to wear while she's healing from surgery...stupid question..do I snap or not? |
I did, I made a slit for the tail and snap them, just make sure to unsnap it to she can go pee.:) is just to make sure she does not lick the stiches. hugs, cArmen in nj |
Thank you for my laugh for the day. It would be a little awkward if you don't snap them as they would probably drag on the floor and your puppy would trip on it. Also the point is to keep them from chewing on their sticthes. I never used these but used a soft collar |
abbey you're welcome for the giggles! Abbey will not leave the snaps alone...maybe Ill have to go back to long tshirt? |
Can you put it on her 'upside down'? You know so that the snaps are on top of her bum instead of on her tummy side. |
abbey this is why I love this place! I will turn it around now!:animal-pa |

What a great idea!!! Smart thinking!!!:p |
Wait, onsies like the ones for babies? Their arms & legs fit in the holes??? OMG that's so cute. Do you have a picture? I'd love to dress my Charlie in onsies if they fit nicely. I always thought the holes may not fit ... |
:p LOL, yes you have to put it upside down... LOL or she will try to chew the snaps..LOL sorry I thought you just wanted to know if is ok to snap it...LOL hugs, carmen in nj |
Yep, put it on with the front of the onesie on doggies back, then snap the two outside snaps leaving the one in the middle open for the tail. I just today took my Sophie to the vets wearing hers to protect her spay incision and the vet thought what a good idea and they may try using them there. I got this idea from this Forum. |

I use onesies on Lulu while she is in heat and on the furniture/us. They work great and she looks so cute in them!:D |
I am reading this and it is such a good idea. I am taking my Roxy in on Wednesday next week to be spayed she is 5 lbs she could be close to 6 its be a month since I've weighed her and she is 6 months old and was wondering what size you bought and also the size of your baby? |
Puddin wears onesies when she sleeps on my bed as she is not fully house trained. Get some extra absorbent panty liners with adhesive backs. Stick one in the BACK part of the onesie, with one end of the liner near the snaps. Put the onesie on backwards...with the front of the onesie on the dog's back. Snap the two outside snaps, leaving the middle one undone for a tail hole. This prevents accidents and keeps the dog from scratching or chewing anything on its body. |
