| Really Confused......Please Help! Jasmine is almost 8 months old and is in heat. Two days ago I scheduled an appt. to have her spayed on April 9th. I just called my vet to reschedule, thinking the time would be around June (3mos.) and they said she will be fine with the appt. we have, because they are in heat just 3 weeks. This is all new to me, Are there risks if you don't wait????? Please help, I feel comfortable with this vet because they use the better anesthesia (forgot the name) and also they are going to let me bring her in early that morning and pick her up at the end of the day.

| Either way is fine. The uterus does enlarge during heat and is more fragile. Things tend to engorge iwth blood also which makes things more difficult. So yes it can be done but I would wait until everything goes back to normal if it were my dog because it is safer. June sounds good to me...

| I've no advice, but just wanted to ask that you let us know when she does actually go in so that we can keep her, and you , in our prayers that day.
