One more thing some apartments now charge a monthly pet fee besides your deposit, find out about deposits and how much is refundable. I hope you can find a place that will allow 3 dogs. |
I live in a small townhouse that open up to a large community backyard. What I do is put up 3 x-pens around my patio and a portion of the grass. That way when I let them out all I have to do is open the door and walk out with them. The townhome is not large and we do just fine with two. Its just a matter of sharing. I definitely would consult with the landlord about the pet policy though. Get it in writing! Best of luck!:thumbup: |

Are you looking in Waco? I know I saw an apartment complex that was advertising itself as "pet friendly". I think it was on Lakeshore. If I find out more, I'll let you know. We do not live in an apt. complex, but our two almost never go outside. We do the whole potty pad thing and it works for us. I think your guys are already pad trained, right? Then, I don't think that will be much of a problem. (By the way, the names really are adorable! :) ) |
Thanks Everyone for the great suggestions and advice.... I have looked at a couple places....And have been up front with all....Since my three only total 15 lbs (lol) No one has had an issue...Of course, no papers have been signed yet either....Will definitely get it in writing... BTW As Judy mentioned, My guys are pretty much potty pad and part time outside trained...So that part would not be too much of an issue...If the pad were there, it would definitely be used Thanks Again, Joyce & the B's |
My girls (3) and I have only lived in apts and they do just fine. I have to admit we rarely go on walks, but they get exercise just running around inside playing with each other. We live on the second floor, and alot of the times I will just let them outside and watch them from the balcony. They know how to go potty, stay out of the street, and come back. I have trained them to no go off the sidewalk into the street. When I lived in a townhouse they had plenty of room to run around in the house. I had a big grassy area and a privacy fence (Home Depot was on the other side) so I put a stake in the ground and attached 3 leashes so they could enjoy the outside quite frequently. They would let me know when they wanted to come inside. The down side was that the leashes would get so tangled that it took me 15-20 mins to untangle them (I did this 2-3 times a week). |
