| Im no expert but Yorkies color is more a brown and gold color, no white. Some can have some white in the paws and chest but not a lot. I know of Parti color and Bewier, those have white. I know of Rini that have more experience on Parti colors and Bewier so she can give you more info. |

| I have heard of white but they are so rare that I have never seen one and I think there are maltese/yorkies that are all white. |

| Chico's looks white but it is just a "very" pale blonde to where I say it's white white. It's on his head, chest and legs the rest is very light grey everywhere else well except his tips where it still has his baby fur.

| My Bell is blue and tan, and now that she is 2 1/2 yrs old she is turning white. Near her butt. As yorkies grow older they can turn white.. Not usually as young as my Bell though.

| I guess so, If a yorkie is either blue or black and a maltese is white, than I would guess if should or at least could have black..

| What is blue and tan? Is the blue the description of the body color? The grey color type? I have no clue!

| I think they are referring to the solid color on the back of the yorkie. I guess techinically that is the area that extends over the body from back of neck to root of tail. I have one that is exactly like the guidelines, dark steel-blue, with no mingling of tan or black hair and tan around the face, chest and legs. The other one is very light tan, almost champayne colored, with silver/ gray along the back. |

| I have seen fully white ones. There are the party colors and also the biewers which sometimes have three different colors. |

| Yorkshire Terriers standards state these colors, Black and Tan, Black and Gold, Blue and Tan , and Blue and Gold. Blue is a steel blue, its not to be grey/silver, but that is what it normally turns out to be. Sometimes as a yorkie gets older they turn more white, instead of blue.. YT admin put down tons of information about the standard yorkie.. go here: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16045

| The standard colored Yorkies will be born black and brown. There can be some white patches but they usually are in the areas that turn tan and do not show as adults. Of course, there are the off colors..I happen to have 2 chocs..and they are that color when they are born. I also have a gorgeous little parti male who was born white, black, and tan. He is staying those colors now and has sired a litter of Biewer/parti colors that are marked like the Biewers. The different babies are shown in my avatar and album, thanx to Villette.. |
