hmm..wish whomever had Yoshi had a heart like me.
 

As many of you know I have been searching for Yoshi...been on plenty of lost dog websites, placings ads, viewing found dogs, walking up and down the shelters hoping to find him...but still no luck.

Well as I was looking at the lost and found section in our local newspaper this morning...i seen a lost ad for a male schnauzer. and it hit me like wow...i actually seen or read about plenty that was taken to the shelter...so i contacted the lady...and asked if she has checked the wichita animal shelter and she was like she called but they only have 2 females...but i knew that was not right because they have a website that is updated every hour and i know i seen a male schnauzer listed...so i went back on the website to refresh hoping maybe Yoshi was turned in or not...but on the last page...there is a male schnauzer on there...so i called her back and explained to her that although they told her that there were only 2 females in the shelter that not everyone has the same perspective of what the dog looks like or is...so it is best that she goes down there and get him because they only hold for 3 days.

So i asked her what color he was? Is he gray because that is what is listed..and she said yes...so then i said is he larger than normal and she is yes...then i asked if he was around 2 and she said yes...and i said well they have 1 listed that was bought in on the 26....and she was in tears because this is a great possibility that this is him...she is at work right now and there is an outrage and no one can leave but once they let people out she will be heading there.

I gave her their address and the phone number. I told him that I know how it feels to lose a pet for I am going thru it right now and have searching for a whole week. And if i can help someone find theirs then it would bring a little happiness back into my life...i am crying as I type this because there is a great possibility i may never seen Yoshi again...but knowing that I may have help reunite someone who seem to really love their dog like i love mine...brings a slight smile to my face.

Now if only life work that way...where you can trade one good deed for a favor then Yoshi would be home today...just thought i would share with everyone.

Aw, Mary. I wish there was something I could do to help. I have been praying for you and Yoshi every time I think of you--which is often! You did a great thing today! I hope it is her dog. Do you think she will let you know? Keep hoping.

Aww.. you are so sweet and nice. You went that extra mile for this lady and recheck the website and everything. There isn't a lot of people out there that would do that... :)

I know it must be hard for you but just keep your head up. Hopefully he'll show up or somebody will be as kind as you were. I'll be praying for you and Yoshi. . .

I will find out tonight as I do plan on contacting her to see if indeed that was her dog...she sound so sad on the phone but when i told her what i found she was eager to leave to go get him...i felt a slight smile over the phone

because i know first hand what it feels like to lost a pet and can't find....i wouldn't wish this kind of pain and hurt on my worst enemy...thank you.

i sure hope so...we are expecting snow showers today...and it is icy cold out...i pray that he is safe and warm...it will be another week before the weathers picks up again.

Iam hoping that whoever finds Yoshi has a heart like you too. Can you find out if any of your neighbours have CCTV on their property as there might be a chance that you could seeif Yoshi was any of the tapes, esp stores of places of work. Just a thought.:animal-pa

I just had tears in my eyes reading this. You have a very good heart and I believe how you are helping others you will be blessed also. I also hope that another kind hearted person will find yoshi and you'll have him back very soon. Pls dont give up, We'll be here to support you and take care as well.

she called me back and thank me from the bottom of her heart because it was him...she was stuck at work but she called her husband and he went down there and sure enough it was their dog...and their son could not be happier...and she said told her husband that she is glad there really are people like me out there....because she said i am going thru the same thing but i took time out and found her dog and called her to let her know even though i am hurting....and she was like god bless you...we can't thank you enough...

and she asked me about Yoshi..and told me she will keep her eyes and ears open.

Wow! What a wonderful thing you did!!! Great for you and that dog. I hope and pray for that you are rewarded with the return of your lovely Yoshi, but if that doesn't come to be...Know that you did a remarkable thing for another family who was hurting as much as you are. Bless you and Yoshi.

Oh my what a wonderful day for that lady and her little guy. Bless your heart for going the extra mile for someone that you don't even know. You saved that little guy. No one knows the pain your in unless they too have had a missing pet. All I can say is we are continuing to pray and light candles for little Yoshi. Please Yoshi come home!! We need another happy ending to a heartwrenching story. My heart is sooo happy for that family and soooo sad that you are still hurting. God bless you and your little Yoshi.

I may of missed it and sorry if I have but is yoshi microchipped? If so have they tried to track him? I have been praying for you also and will continue to until you find him.. I dont know how you all believe but the bible says we can call Gods favor so I have been calling Gods favor for you that these people who have him will be so convicted that they will bring him home or at least take him to the shelter so that you can find him. I know God will reward you for your kindness to these other people God bless you.

You're living everybody's worst nightmare right now, looking for lost Yoshi. he is chipped...and what do you mean track him? do they have a built in gps or something i dunno about?

Mary, what a bittersweet story! You reached out with your heart today to a total stranger in the same situation as you and you will be Blessed!! I'm praying that the newspaper article will touch someone's heart who might have Yoshi or possibly know where he is with someone else!

thanks girl...i just hope that whomever has him realize how much pain I am in...the sleepless nights, constant worrying, crazy thoughts and countless tears that i am enduring in hopes of finding him...it can be so unbearable...

You have A heart of Gold . I know your in so much pain and hurting so much for your missing Yoshi, yet you have done a selfless act and reunited a family .
You will be blessed for your kindness , it takes an incredible person to help anther while your grieving for your own lost pet. Not many people would take the time to do that.
I helped find a Dog for a elderly couple who are disabled. They needed A service animal , so I went on craigslist , and looked for several days for a "special" dog for them.
Ironiclly I found a miniture Schnauzer for them. Rehoming fee was $100. I called the lady for them, and they went to see her the sameday. AND also brought home a new Dog .It felt good to help the couple out. I see the husband walking the dog everyday all the time, and they call her Shadow:)

I am a firm believer in what goes around comes around. That is an amazing thing you did and it will came back to you...
