In 9 days I get to go pick up my two little bundles of joy!! We decided to get a brother and sister. Then I Google Drive about it and everything is so negative. For those of you who have raised littermates my question is do you crate them together? One of the articles I read said if we got littermates to keep them in sperate crates in separate rooms and to do lots of things separately with them especially potty time. What was your experience during the first few weeks/months? I feel like I am prepping more for this than I did for the birth of my children...lol. thanks for the help!! |
I got two puppies within one month of each other. They were not littermates but were from the same breeder and have the same dad. Everyone told me it was a bad idea and that they would only bond with each other and not me. That's definitely not the case. They did bond with each other but they DEFINITELY also bonded with me. I actually think it's a great idea I think a lot of times when you get a new puppy and already have an older dog the older dog is not thrilled, at least not at first. But two puppies generally get along from the start. |
