I just finished reading your whole story and I must say I find myself fighting tears...I am so sorry and I said a prayer for you and yours after I read the first line. I have had many close calls with molly dog only because she is so small she sneaks under my feet when i check the mail etc. but she had never been out for more than 30 seconds before someone knocks or I realize she is out, and that is enough to give you a heart attack. i can't imagin how you feel and your babies must be sad too. My heart and prayers go out to you!

OMG. I am so sorry. My heart is breaking for you right now. Hopefully someone has him and sees one of your fliers soon.

I'd go by there myself if the police are not going to. Be nice to the parents by explaining that she called you and though she said it was a prank, you just had to see if she possible did have your Yoshi. Be prepared that the parent may be just as bad as their daughter and will take her side. Or you might luck out and find that they are nice people. Also, knock on the neighbors doors too and ask if they seen them with a yorkie. Go to the nearest vets and give them Yoshi's fliers. What a horrible person she is!!!

This is what I was thinking. Just be sure to take someone with you. Maybe a big burly guy!!!

Here is what I would do. I would go to the house and ring the door bell or knock really hard. If Yoshi is in there, he will bark. Then when they come to the door make up something about how you have the wrong address and try to look and see if its Yoshi. If it is then just leave and go back to the police and tell them these people have your dog.

I also think that's a great idea. I would definetly go there - who knows what you'll find. Checking with the neighbors is also a super idea. I'd even sit down the block for a while - maybe in the morning hours - and see if they are walking a dog. Just a thought.

I would have told the PD that when i go to that house they better let me in to see if they really have my dog and if they don't let me in, then it won't be prank calls anymore, it will be a crime when i pull someone out of that house, then will you come??? I shouldn't have said that, but thats your baby and that girl called you for some reason. Im thinking she has your dog and was gonna give him back then changed her mind and decided to keep him. If it were me, thats the lead i would follow up on. The PD at least should have escorted you to that house to check it out. I am still praying that yoshi is returned to you safe and sound.

I am so sorry to hear this. I pray for Yoshi's safe return.

I'm so sorry to hear about that horrible girl that called. If you have an address I would at least drive by so that you can see if they possibly do have your little one. Also try talking to a different person at the PD. Tell them that you have reason to believe that they have your dog and are keeping him.

You are in our prayers.

What if you call the girl back and tell her there a $1,000 reward. Then, if she bites you've caught her in a lie.
$1,000 to a teenager would seem like a million bucks. (You wouldn't pay her of course)

Mary I am so sorry to hear that the police department were such jerks!!
I agree with the other people, I would call back and talk to the Cheif or someone else.They just dont understand how people feel about their dogs.

I'd be on a stake out by their house...I wouldn't leave until I had answers!!! Take a camera just in case they have a yorkie! I can't believe how cruel kids can be!!! If that was my kids I'd whoop their butts!!! God bless you sweetie...I wish I was closer...I'd go with you!!! :mad:
