If you can get the cell phone number via PM for me I can look it up and see if I can get the carrier for it and you can take that with you to the police. Or you can try and google it to get the carrier... that is all I can think of to track them. I strongly believe that they do have Yoshi and perhaps do not want to return him.. but maybe a concerned or unknowing family member had initially called you. This is sad either way.. that people can find a beloved pet and attempt at concealing or keeping it!!! Adrianna Quote:

Can you afford to offer a reward? I wonder if perhaps that's why the person called you. It's possible that they didn't want to confirm that they have Yoshi until they knew they were getting some money - otherwise they would be legally obligated to return him to you, reward or not. If you're not still doing so, I would keep checking with local shelters. If this family has him, they may decide simply to give him up. It's unfortunately also possible that they were not being truthful, or they may have found a dog that wasn't Yoshi. There are a lot of services on the internet that will provide an address and name for a given phone number. It's usually a $25 fee. It's not always accurate, but you may be able to get more information that way. |
Another thought...perhaps if you mention that Yoshi has mutliple health problems (i.e., heart condition in which he needs his meds, etc., etc., etc...and he will need surgery very soon for liver shunt, etc..). It would make it less desirable for the person to keep Yoshi, b/c I'm sure they don't want to deal with the expensive medical bill...even though none of this is true. I think someone else earlier had posted this suggestion as well... |
I think there is a way to look up cell phone numbers on line. There is a charge for this service. My employer can look up unlisted phone numbers, and property liens, all sort of stuff. If you want to pm me with the number and I will run it through our data base. Its worth a try. |
What a turn for everyting to take , 1st phoning you and then saying they dont have him. I hope you get to the bottom of it all. If i was a prank it is a serious one, but like others maybe they are trying to get some money from you.....either way it is not very nice. Hopefully it is some kind of misunderstanding and they have hiim here's hoping that you will have him back safe and sound. |
oh so sorry to hear they havent called back yet but hopefully soon they will. Especially now you mention to them you will be going to the police if they dont. I'll be lighting up some candles for yoshi. I hope they call back very very soon. |
Dear Lord:( I just now seen this, so sorry that you have to go through this, praying that everything turn out fine, and you can have your furbaby back in no time:hands::aimeeyork |

You poor thing! I can't believe some people are just so rude and don't care about anyone else but themselves. Hang in there! I am praying for you and your baby. |
I am still praying for his safe return..I just can't believe those girls have the nerve to do phone prank on them..I seriously would make sure that the police will show up at their door steps. |

That's absolutely horrible! Don't worry, a little thing called Karma will come back and get them. So are you going to call the cops on her? |
How is that in any way funny? AGH. I hope she understands one day what a HORRIBLE thing that was to do. I still wonder if maybe she does have the dog, and is now saying she doesn't have it to get you to back off... I would still try to find her name and address. Did she sound very young? Like, young enough to still live with her parents? |
