| How Old???? I was just wondering how old are yorkies when their ears start to stand up, of course we have the 3 babies and they are 5 weeks old today and my husband has asked me several times. I know some stand up naturally and some don't. It really doesn't matter to me one way or the other. Mollies ears are about 3/4 of the way up with hair shaved off, the fathers are completely up. I'm don't know if they ever did anything to them or not. I was just curious. They are starting to come away from their head a little. Like I said I was just curious. Thanks.

| my males ears were standing before 3 weeks old and Daisy's were at around 6 or 7. They have never flopped at all, which I was kinda sad about since I love the floppy ear look. Here's a pic of Bear at 3 weeks. |

Donating YT 14K Club Member | out of my 4 female pups that I had, 2 had fully erect ears by the time they went home. the other two were standing within a couple of weeks. I have a friend, however, and her yorkie was 6 months by the time the ears stood erect all the time.

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Both my girls were about 4 months.. maybe sooner ? Chanel's went up and down like yo-yo's but stood on their own - no tape...with Chanel's I kept the ears shaved on the top third - Cheri's stood faster so I didn't worry about it too much. |

It dosen't matter to me whether they stand up or not. I think they are adorable either way. I don't know that I would ever do anything other than shaving their ears to see if that would work. I do keep Mollies shaved and hers stand up about 3/4 of the way. I personally think she looks better that way. But that is just my preference. I liked her both ways. I guess it just depends on each individual look of the dog.
