| Oh my GOD! That is horrendous! I too find it very unlikely and suspect that anyone, let alone a 'breeder', could let that happen! And like everyone else I would suggest you ask for a full refund. I am so sorry this has happened to you, it's so hard to lose a pup that you thought would be yours. Thinking of you x

| I, like the other posters here, don't believe the breeders story one bit. I would carry those puppies in my shirt against my bare skin to keep them alive. You don't just let a puppy (or any animal) die from cold weather, that's for sure. I think that she's pulling a fast one on you.

| When our power was out I needed to keep our cockatiel warm. I had a coat on and I put her under my coat next to me. She stayed warm. No reason for a puppy, let alone 2 to freeze. ![]() ![]()

| How irresponsible of anyone without the forethought to have some form of heat when living in a cold climate. As for the puppies it certainly smells to me too. Maybe she is pulling a "bait n switch" with the brown puppy. I would insist on a full refund and look elsewhere for a puppy. |

| hi, i didn't exactly want to accuse her...but she sent me several e-mails saying that someone had offered her more for the puppy than i had paid. she said that she would keep her word to me. i wasn't getting her cheap or anything, but i know she could have sold her for more somewhere else. i think maybe she did sell her and used our very short snow storm for an excuse. she also let a 3 day old puppy die. she said she put them in their crates and checked them later and they were dead. i have no understanding of how this happened. i have a (2) 3lb. yorkies and a 4lb. yorkie and they had absolutely no problem whatsoever... she also told me they bought these AKC yorkies so that they could breed for this certain color...i have seen a chocolate one...but i just like the traditional blue or black and gold or tan best. Thank-you all for caring and for (most likely) confirming my suspicions. i don't think i will deal with this breeder anymore |

| WOW!! I cant believe she just put them in their crates and looked at them later and they were dead. How sad is that? If it was that cold, I would put newborns under my shirt next to me. And I would use all that $$ that she made off the pups to buy a generater and a heater. Maybe this breeder has fallen on hard times and has no money. Seems fishy though.I hope you get a refund and look elsewhere for a puppy.

| I agree with everyone. You should get a full refund; you did not get what you paid for. Puppies would snuggle together to keep warm and with the addition of blankets and the breeder holding them, they should have been okay. If the breeder told you the truth, you probably would not want to get a puppy from someone that did not take better care of her animals. |

| That is terrible! If she's lying or not, what kind of a lie is that! I mean sheesh, does this breeder have no compassion even? Gosh I hate unscrupulous people!!We were in that ice storm a few weeks ago, and had the power go out for a little while! It got SO cold in here and so I took Hiro and cuddled him with me under a bunch of blankets... and he's 10 pounds! (I let my husband freeze his keister off on the couch!) lol

| Is it strange that she had a 3 day old and a 10 week old at the same time? That just seems like alot of work and alot of pups to deal with.... I agree with everyone else that it seems strange. I would get a refund and use someone else. We live where the power was out for multiple days and my animals and kids were kept warm and yes they had to bundle up, well, my chow loved it but my cats got extra blankets in their beds and they snuggled together.... But if I had kittens, or pups, they would be kept right with me and no chance of getting cold. |

| Those pups would have been under my jacket. My 98.6* would have kept them nice and toasty. The 10 week old would have been weaned, but I don't understand how the infant would not have been with its mother to keep it warm. But you said the 10 week old pup was only a pound? Not a kilo? That's AWFULLY tiny, too. Something just isn't right ... |

| Since you said I think that you live near this breeder I would make a trip to her home and ask to see the remaining yorkies and see for myself if the puppy really died or if she maybe just got a higher offer for it. I am so disgusted with unethical breeders. Good luck hon. |
