Yorkie proof upholstery? What's the best upholstery fabric for little Yorkie paws and claws? Our satin weave isn't faring very well. But we're considering new living room anyway. Might as well choose wisely.

I'm really not sure what would be puppy proof. We have a couch & love seat with wooden legs and on all four corners you can see where Mollie chewed on them. She never touched the fabric. I'm not sure what would work. If anything.

Ouch! I wasn't thinking so much about chewing on the fabric, just about all the little pulls from their little claws. We might be able to train her not to chew on the furniture, but we can't train her not to have claws.

We've had cream colored leather for several years and we've never had any trouble from claws or scratch marks and none of ours have ever been chewers. Leather is great...muddy prints wipe right off!

LOL I think if you look at a lot of the pictures posted you will find that the pups have their own blankets or a specific item they are allowed on when they are on the furniture. At least that's how it looks to me. Could be like me, they just have a dirty couch and are covering it up for the pictures. LOL

| I forgot to mention, I gave up on keeping the dogs off the couch so I like to always keep a coordinating fleece blanket draped over the couch. I will actually wrap it around the cushions and I change it out like sheets ever few days. It sounds weird but it is easy to clean and it actually looks cute. I have a small house with a cozy living room and not many guest comeover so it works for me.

I am getting a microfiber suede couch soon. I don't know if it is chew proof but I am hoping it stays cleaner and repels any little accidents
