my last response to this thread Quote:
i totally agree money is not always everything.... and if she was a friend maybe i could talk to her about lowering her price...but all i can say is it not my dog and just a neighbor so i cant negotiate her price. sell or not sell ...give or not give...thats between the owner and potential new owner......and before this get to be too emotional and people start giving thier opinion on what she should or shouldnt do lets try this......this is my last attempt and after this i will just love my own yorkie (lucky) and mind my own business(which i probably should have done in the first place but i do have a soft spot for animals) :D ....if there is anyone interested in bailey(money or no money just interested) send me and email budavision@hotmail.com and i will forward the owners name and number and you can call her to discuss this futher...money,shipping ect... things may have changed since the last time i saw her....and maybe if the only calls she gets is for a free loving home she'll consider that......for all other instead of nit picking at her way of trying to find bailey a home i would like to ask all of you to pray for bailey. pray that this will all work out for the best of the dog.that he will find a home where he will be loved and taken care of :p ...isin't this all that matters anyway???? also and this is only and fyi when she told me that she crates him in the bathroom when shes working (2 jobs) it concerned me that he was being confined in a bathroom and crated all at the same time. so as one yourkie owner to another i tried to share my lucky stories with her and give some tips....told her instead of crating to just leave in bathroom with food and water no trash can and leave toilet seat down.....well she kind of got defensive on me like she didnt care for my opinion at all(ouch sorry) were both sistahs(not trying to use the race card) but i know we have the tendency of being a little fiesty at times(especially to strangers) ......so maybe instead of me asking her to do something that up front she told me she wouldnt do....im going to leave it up to you guys if your interested talk to her and maybe she will drop her price or lower it for the good of bailey....i have done all i can do ...i have tried to network this situation....... i pray bailey finds a loving home..........thanks for the questiond and support now its time to get the focus back on my own baby.....have a great day folks.... ;) |
to admin i know you are monitoring this thread and have already warned me to be careful of my verbiage.... as not to mislead anyone that this is my dog to sell.... but you did say as long as i was careful that i could talk about bailey. hopefully i have not stepped over that boundry. either way ive done all i can do and its in gods hands now....there will be no futher posting about bailey unless it to congrad's his new home....thanks for everything ...cocoa |
willing to take him Hi, I emailed last night asking if he was still looking for a home. Do you know if he has been tested for anything? Liver Shunt, Heart Murmur, Parvo.... I'm will to take him, but before I bring him home I would have to get him well check by my vet incase he has anything, I wouldn't want to bring home anything that could harm my girls and that alone is going to cost quit a bit. I'm sure there will be other issues that will need attention, but like you said with some love those are easy to work out. I have a 8 yr old yorkie with a heart murmur and brething problems, I spend about 1,000 or more a yr on vets and meds. The hard part is when they are sick watching my Buffy trying to breath and woundering if she will, I don't wish that on anyone. I'm also part of a rescue group here in LA and all she needs to say is "Pick him up now" and Ric Ross will be there in less then hour with paper signing him over, so just let her there are more opions then the shelter. |
Oooops Sorry Wd6474, I think we were both typing at same time. I'll email you. |
I wanted to suggest that you can have her bring him to our meetup next weekend and see if anyone wants to buy him. I think people would be more willing to buy if they were to be able to meet him and check out his personality. I am in Los Angeles as well and we are having a meetup with a bunch of Chihuahuas and Yorkies next weekend in Venice. Let me know if this is something she might be interested in and I can do a posting on our meetup website so everyone who will attend can think about whether or not they might want him. |
Poor Bailey. I would take him in myself if I could afford another dog and lived closer. I would even foster him if I could get him, but I live in Windsor, Canada. I understand wanting to get money back, but it doesn't have to be all of it. Just knowing that the dog got a good home would be good enough for me. Why hasn't she put any ads in the papers yet? She should to get the word out more. But it seems like she doens't want to spend another penny on the dog. Did she even realize how much these dogs can cost to have, or did she not realize that she has to be able to spend more than an hour a day with it?? I'm sorry, but people who just impulsively get a dog bother me. She seems very selfish to me. I hope poor little Bailey can find a good home soon, even if it means a temporary one for now. :( |
I am considering getting the little guy but I need to talk to my husband about the cost of him. Since I am a stay at home mom money is a bit tight. I would love to welcome him to our home and Chico would love a playmate! I have sent a PM so we will see what we can do. |

As her neighbor it wouldn't be too intrusive to give her contact info for Yorkie Rescue. They are VERY selective about new homes so this little dog won't have to go through this AGAIN. Just give her the number to call if she doesn't have a better option. http://www.homestead.com/YTRA/index.html |
That girl is just selfish (IMO). I offered to buy Bailey when the thread initially went up. I never heard from her! I live in Texas, but was willing to pay for her to ship him to me. Why would she care if he was shipped if she's willing to give him to a shelter???!! Something's not right with that picture. Anyhoo, now I am soon to be the proud new mother of Beth Veselka's male pup after Labor Day. I'll keep you posted when that happens. I could still take Bailey, but she just comes off as a little "off" to me. I just hope a member of YT can adopt him. |
Bailey : I can't find the orgin of this to find out where Bailey is. I will get him in a heartbeat if he needs a home. Somebody tell me where he is and how to get in touch, please, Thanks Helen and "Kids" : |
