Do your baby's destroy their toys? When Tobie gets a new toy it will last for about a day, sometimes longer if he is lucky, he takes the stuffing out and totally demolishes the toy and when I take the toy away he looks at me like “why did you do that mommy, I wasn’t done with my toy yet!” . Do your baby’s destroy their toys like that? |
Yes he does . He is 3 now . I only buy the stuff toys that dont have arms and legs. The best thing is knotted tube socks and Bully sticks . |
Yes, my Toby has sent many a squeaky toy to the Great Stuffie Heaven in the sky. I now get the toys without the stuffing and extra squeakers, they seem to last a bit longer :) |
Bailey only destroys the ones that she likes! |
Sophie has never destroyed a toy. She still has the toys she got on the night we brought her home, 7 1/2 years ago.;) |
Demolished Toys Max:aimeeyork demolishes his toys and everything else. He violently shakes them....how can I stop him? |
Patsy and Bonnie are notorious for destroying their stuffed toys. I saw some soft toys that had no stuffing in them, but passed on them because of the price. They are so comical when they get caught after they've chewed up a toy. All that stuffing hanging out of their mouths, "we didn't do it, Mom" hmmmm, but how can you stay mad at them. |
Fiona has never ever destroyed a toy! She loves playing with them all the time. :) |
I don't know how many toys I've gone through with my furbaby. It's crazy but at least I know she enjoys them. I swear, with every toy she has now, there's at least 1 thing that's wrong with them whether the squeaker doesn't work, it's missing an arm or has a hole in it. |
If it's stuffed, it's a goner in my house. I get the look too, as I'm picking up fluff off the floor and tossing fluff and disfigured stuffed toy in the trash. I can almost hear his thoughts....."But Mom, there's still more stuffing for me to rip out, pleeeeeeeessssssssseeee, don't throw it away". |
Gracie used to be really rough on her toys. She would chew them every second she got and it was a disaster. I finally spent much of one weekend giving her toys and training her not to chew them up. She still shakes them violently but she does it in a "playful" way. Her toys now last much longer and usually we can sew them back up once they start to rip. |
Maximus destroys his toys too. The ones that have lasted the longest are his laces in his pic, the cuz ball, and his white nylabone(for tough chewers). I have quit buying stuffed toys. They are gone pretty quickly. He loves his laces! |
We buy Laddy the smaller tightly stuffed toys and he shakes them like crazy but so far they have stayed in tact. He even takes his favorites to bed with him lol. You might try those. |
They dont destroy them but the ones that they love look pretty bad |
Sure do!!! Pongo my oldest will not stop unil they're no longer alive. Aiden loves to chew on the squeeky ones, until they loose their squeek. Harley eats shoes,an entire wicker laundry basket...So Yes..they search and destroy. |
Oh, yes!! We bought Snoopy a Kong Wubba on Saturday evening, destroyed by Sunday morning! There are always some of his buddies waiting 'surgery' or stitches. A few have had amputations...:p |

Buster doesn't destroy his toys. He squeezes them to hear the squeaker and sometimes shakes them around, but mostly they're for us to play fetch with together. We still have his turtle zanie that the breeder gave us when we brought him home, and it's still one of his favorites. |
SophieKate destroys all her toys and the cats too. My poor kitty - he hasn't had a toy in 6 months. |
I had to stop buying any toys with stuffing after my Katy Lou vomited up stuffing balls on two different occasions. So she not only tears it out of the toy she actually EATS it. Too dangerous. I buy the unstuffed toys now and only let them have squeaker toys under supervision. Bully sticks work great too but I don't leave them with those unless they are supervised either. I am so afraid of choking. |
They are not destroyed just much loved...LOL. I bought a small stuffed dog at Christmas from Target. It had a sensor that when touched played a dog barking "Jingle Bells". I really hadn't gotten it as a toy for Maybelline but to sit on a table top. Everytime it would bark she would grab it and shake it like crazy. I just gave up trying to keep it from her because she loved it so much. Well it no longer sings/barks, has no eyes, and the Santa hat was chewed off a long time ago. It is her favorite toy and wants it tossed completely across the room so she can go retrieve it. She is quite pleased with herself when she returns with the strangled little dog. |

lol! Exxacctlyy! I brought him home a plastic "rolled up newspaper" today. It's, I mean...it's WAS a squeaker toy and thought he and daddy would have fun playing fetch with it. He tore the end off of it in less than an hour! Oy. |
Tetley never used to kill his stuffies, that's a new thing (he's 2.5 yrs old). One day he just decided to pull the stuffing out of one toy, then there was no stopping him. The body count just kept rising. After killing almost all his stuffy buddies, now he sticks to playing with his footballs. |
All of the time! They n-e-v-e-r last |
Sometimes! Now I can kind of tell what will last and what won't. |
Our little love manages to destroy every soft toy we have ever got him. He methodically works on the ears....then the arms and legs....moves onto the eyes and gets so sad when my husband and I have to take it away before he swallows a piece. Several times we caught him with stuffing falling out of his mouth and all over the floor but he looks up at us with those precious eyes as if to say, "It wasn't me!" Such a little rascal. We now take bets to see how long the furrie will survive. Usually between 2 hours and 2 days......... Today he was neutered and had his last 2 baby teeth removed. We thought that would help with the chewing so he got a new stuffed monkey and that was 5 hours ago. Poor little monkey...never had a chance. |

Tobie has a "rolled up newspaper" squeaker toy, and he did the same thing to it, tore the edges off and it was not a cheap toy! |
Mika really looks after her toys! She hides them when shes not playing with them and never tears them up! She loves her plushies and still has the ones I bought for her when we first brought her home!!! She does however like to chew things she should'nt-like the kids small plastic toys or plastic cutlery!!! Nikki (SBT) on the other hand DESTROYS anything with a squeaker and Owen(OESD) will rip apart tennis balls-first he strips them of their fluff then cracks them open and finally chews all the pieces up into tiny bits:rolleyes: |
Absolutely! Elvis loves to pull out the stuffing. Now that we have our little 6 month Honey Willow, we've discovered that she is even worse than Elvis at destroying toys...none are sacred. |
Baron may look like an angel but hes a monster deep inside.. He will rip the toys apart until he could get a grasp of the squeaker. So violent. |
