Yoda Saved Our Home! 2 Attachment(s) Yoda is a wonderful, magical, little guy. A few nights ago, Yoda kept barking and barking, which we thought meant he just wanted to play, since he had gone to pee pretty recently and just had dinner so we knew he wasn't hungry. So we threw some of his toys and dragged his stuffed cat around, but he didn't seem to be very interested in playing. We didn't think much of it and continued on with what we were doing. But he KEPT on barking, which was a bit odd. He also was barking from about 10 feet away, usually if he wants our attention and wants playtime, he'll bark right next to us. So I walked near him and he whisked off into the kitchen. Then I smelled a burning oily smell! Turns out, we had boiled some water on a small pot, then we left the kitchen for a bit to do other things around the house and had completely forgotten about it! There was no water left in the pot, and luckily the pot didn't catch on fire. The worst of it was just the burnt smell that lingered around for a bit. Thanks Yoda! You saved us! You're my hero. :yoda: Here's a couple of pictures of Yoda playing in the snow when Seattle had a big snowstorm. |
Good job Yoda!!! |
To think some say "Animals are stupid". Yayyyyyyyyyyy for super hero Yoda:good job:What a little smartie he is. It's comforting to know you have someone watching out for you. Yorkies are the best watch dog ever and protecter as well. You read quite often where dog's save their familes during the night from fires or burgler's. They certainly are smarter than some people I know;) Give it up for Yoda. |
:cheer: AW, YODA - good, good boy!!! :cheer: What a little hero! It's a miracle he just "knew" there was trouble. Clearly, he deserves some very, very special treats this weekend! :p |

Well done Yoda  I did the same thing once , left a small pot of water on the stove to make ice tea.....forgot about it , and we LEFT the house ! Sydney was barking at dh ( who had came home from work, and more to save her own butt than anything else :)) and when he went into the kitchen in was glowing orange ! No one was hurt thank God , and he put it out with an extinguisher ( thankfully it had just really started) . I still can't believe I did that !!! The worst part was when I came home I still didn't remember the pot of water and yelled at him for doing it :p He still teases me and says," Honey if you want something remodeled, just ask ...don't try to burn the place down" :p |
wow what a good Lil guy I can just hear him MOm! the Foods in danger QUICK save it lol |
Yea for Yoda! What a great story! My dog, Bula, actually started barking on a trail as we walked one day here on Cougar Mountain in Issaquah. Then, he used his mouth to grab his leash and pull me off the trail. He'd never done that before. A hiker came along and said that he'd just seen a bear cross the trail. Bula then stood in front of me and kept stamping his right hind paw on the ground as if to say, "C'mon, bear, bring it on!" It's pretty wonderful that these small animals can be so courageously protective of us! Good job, Yoda! |
Wow! That's awesome! Way to go Yoda! These little guys are amazing. Our little protectors. What a cutie Yoda is! |
