Ok, anyone that is following me on the long journey of looking for a yorkie, I found one male... mom is 3.5lbs, dad is 5.5 lbs. Does anyone know if males are more difficult to train than girls? Also what about "marking territory" how much is that a problem... please advise!! I am hoping to drive this weekend and see and hopefully get him... ??? Ohh man and the gas!! AHHH for the love of yorkies huh!!

I have a male and he is very smart. He is almost potty trained completely, he has not had any accidents in a long while. He does not mark his territory, he still squats. hehe. Good Luck and post some pictures, I want to see him. Is it far away I drove 4 hours one way for Cosmo. And I am sooo glad I did.

If you have them spayed between 4-6 months i think they make as good a pet as a female .. same with thew marking.

Yea, I am driving about 5 hours one way..But the funny thing is that this Friday is my hubby's b-day..... man hopefully all will go well, I am hoping to see pics before I go... I really don't want any surprises you know!

Males are sweet and lovable. If you get them neutered before they start marking then you probably wont have any problems with marking.

I have a little male and he is fantastic! He is smart, eager to learn
ands wants nothing more than to please me. As long as you are
consistant with them from the start I don't think what sex they
are holds a lot in terms of easy and hard when it comes to training.
As far as marking....I never had a problem with that either. I had
him neutered right around the age of 6 months and he still squats
at 8 months.

i drove 5 hours to0 get my males werll Harley and bobo. Have a wonderful trip and I hope he's just what yopur looking for.

Thanks everyone!! I am so excited!! Hopefully all will go well, I am driving a little past San Antonio, Texas. so it usually takes us 3.5 -4 hours to get there so maybe like 4.5-5 hrs... but I am doing a round trip , pick and drive back..... man How I hate car rides, I get very nauseas!! Ehhhhhh.. But there was a really nice person here.... She is willing to go and get me a picture so I can have a idea what he looks like before I get him, so I can show you too!!
Hopefully everything goes good!!

I had some problems with Skippy marking until I had him neutered, and now he's fine. Also, he was a lot easier to potty train than Gwen.
