Please follow up with animal control. You dont want time to lapse and they put this dog down. Just follow up and make sure it is safe....

I would have taken him in, and called animal cruelty.

Apparently the owners were notified and had to pay a fine to get their dog back. I would not want anything to happen to that poor puppy. OMG, that's why I called animal control...I didn't want her to freeze to dealth, or to get sick.

Im so glad you called animal control. I would do the same thing. Its just in about 7 days they euthenize them if they are not claimed. Im glad you called back and the owners had to pay a fine. If this happens again I would be on the phone with animal control . You gave this pup a warm place to sleep. You did great.

I probably would've called animal control. How could anyone leave any kind of dog outside in weather that cold? That's just heartbreaking.

So, they got the dog back?? Will animal control do anything to make sure this little one doesn't go thru this again? I know you will be watching out for it - but you have to wonder how they treat the little thing when it's in the house

Thank you so much!!! I rather lose a casual or any relationship with a neighbor than to have any innocent being suffur.

I haven't seen the dog, but they got her back. I will be watching, that's for sure. I do worry about her, but I can only hope that everything is ok.
