wow, that is so sad. Here in Delaware it is not a law, they ask if you would like to get your dog chipped. It is sucha simple thing to do, they must of really did something wrong. Poor baby... :(:( |

SLOWLY SLOWLY ..WE HAVE NO MORE RIGHTS... ALL THE FREEDOMS OUR ANCESTORS FOUGHT FOR ARE SLOWLY BEING TAKEN AWAY.. AND THE HONEST ONES PAY THE PRICE... WHILE THE CRIMINALS CONTINUE ON.WITH THE DISHONESTY... ALL THE BULL SHoT LAWS MAKE HONEST PPL GET DISHONEST...JUST TO PRESERVE SOME FREEDOMS... JUST LOOK AT ALL THE SICKLY LITTLE ONES ON THIS SITE.. VACCINES, CHEMICALS FOR HEARTWORM, CHEMICALS FOR FLEAS & TICKS, CONTAMINATED FOODS & TREATS..AND THE LIST GOES ON & ON..IT IS ENDLESS WE ARE LOVING OUR LITTLE ONES TO DEATH ! |

Great post! I have always had my animals microchipped, including teeny baby ferrets. I've never encountered a problem! The percentage of problems must be minor in comparison to the amount of successes otherwise we would have heard about it. I realize there are probably lots of stories like this but we rarely hear about successful cases because no-one wants to report about them:rolleyes: Obviously this particular microchip went more than skin deep and if I were the owner I would most certainly be holding the vet responsible!!! |
Microchip Oh, Goodness, I am glad I didn't hear that story before my April was done. They inserted her chip when she was under being spayed. Everyone, including the vet said that I should have it done. I am glad I did now, but I wouldn't have if I heard about that first. But my daughter was so nervous having her Golden Retriever nuerted because her friend told her of a case where she new the lady, she had her Goldennuerted and they gave him to much anasthega and he died,so I guess anything can happen, just make sure you have trust in your vet. |
I wish everyday that I would have micro-chipped my two Skye Terriers which were stolen out of a handlers house. Maybe I would have them home by now. Although I do not think that micro-chipping should be mandatory/government regulated, I think its a good idea for the safety of the pet. |

Memorial 7 Also the FDA apparently has approved microchips for humans but after doctors found out the microchips were causing cancer in lab animals they decided again pushing them for human use. Chip Implants Linked to Animal Tumors - washingtonpost.com I know many people feel comfortable with microchipping their pets and that is their right but I would never do that to any of my babies. |

Shocking those reports and yet people think this is good to do to ur little ones??? What happened to the owner just being responsible ...like ur being in control of ur little one ... On the leash |
That is so sad :( if that were my dog and this happened I would not be so forgiving towards the vet :( I am not in favor of this being mandatory either. thankfully it is not where I live in CA. :aimeeyork |

I think for the most part microchips are probably safe but I just don't think people should be forced to get them. |
