Does your yorkie like to come in the bathroom with you? I may be sharing too much info but I was wondering if anyone elses yorkie does this. Mine does. I dont know what her obsession is. She will even push the bathroom door open if its not properly latched. Guest at my house have to beware :D . And when I say she wants to come in there- I mean while you go to the bathroom not shower(she could careless if you shower), and she wants you to pet her and love on her. I cant figure out if she just wants more attention or what but it never fails. If the door is properly shut and she cant push it open then she will cry outside the door, and try to dig. She even does this to others at my house. :confused: Anyone elses do this? Or do I just have an attention craving yorkie? |
Both of my babies do this. They also do it to anyone else who comes over my house and uses the bathroom -- they try to dig outside the door. |
Cosmo does that he will sit there and cry if the door is shut. He even wants to jump in the shower with me. lol. If I am in the house he has to keep an eye on me, unless he wats to get into something he is not suppose to. lol. |
Kacee does that, too. Muffin outgrew that, more or less. She would usually come in during bath time only and hang out. |
All of my dogs do that EXCEPT my Yorkie!! The others come in to get pettted and have their ears scratched, but Dublin only comes in to play with the other dogs (who want nothing to do with him as long as there is human attention being doled out). I think they just know that they have a captive audience. :rolleyes: I have one of those floor to ceiling showers, and Dublin does like to come in and drink. I use the handheld shower head to spray in his direction and he drinks from it like he was at a water fountain. When I first did it I thought he would run, now it's become a regular thing with him. |
My girls do this if the door is cracked...or they will sit and scratch at the door if it is closed...I am not sure why they do this, it is not like they want my attention they just want to be where I am...but something it is a little awkward, esp. if they start barking and stuff!! |
Yup.. Trixie does this as well. But she's a Mama's girl--she only does it to me and no one else. She has to be EVERYWHERE I go! |
Omgsh YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS! i cant pee or poo or shower or bathe alone anymore ...lol if i do decide to close the door he paws and scratches until someone lets him in lol his my MINI ME!!:) my sisters sometimes get annoyed b/c he will be hanging out and playing with them and then he sees me leaving the room and then its, "SEE YA IM Following my mommy.." lol too funny |
Macy is always in the bathroom while I am in there- once and awhile with her Dad. When I am in the shower she sits on my bathmat waiting for me, just so she can lick my clean legs! She is always under foot! |
I thought it was funny that my sister's dog Mickey would do this even with guests. But then when I got Daisy she did the same thing too except she wants to jump into my lap while I'm going number 1 or 2. :( Speaking of sharing too much info, we try not to let her go into the bathroom when my fiance Ryan is in there because she likes to go in between his legs and stand on her hind legs and look into the toilet while he's *tinkling* away. I'm afraid one day she'll stick her head in too far and get wet if you know what I mean. :eek: |

If I happen to see to make it to the bathroom before they know what I am doing and get the door closed....i love seeing those little paws come under the door trying to reach me!!! It's just so cute. Sometimes I reach down and touh them or grab them. |
hehe I told Ryan, he needs to tell her to get down when she does that..I think it's so gross, but of course he's like oh who cares... Of course he doesn't know I said anything. :p Maybe if he knows, he'll stop her from doing that!!! hehe Chicle sounds too cute! |

Not to much information !!!! I am so glad to hear I am not the only one !!! I have six that crowd around me. I don't know how I ever was able to complete this task before they came into my life...lol :p Or at least this is what they think !!!! :D |

Samson does this with me but not anyone else. If I'm in there he has to come in or if the door is shut he'll scratch on it to try to get in. |
Mine don't step in the the bath room whats so ever they come to the edge of the door but won't place one paw in as they are bath in the tub and I am sure they must think " If I step in there I will be bathed" I guess its not a good option for them. :) |
Otis actually tries to sit on my lap while I'm going. I'm not kidding. He is tooo attached. |
Hobbe always comes into the batroom when i go in there, especially when freshly showered (me that is) he loves to lick my legs from the excess water.. And by the way: Hey all! this is my first post. |

Gus does this but only with me. But it's a seperation thing with him. And he'll only do this with me. I have a bed for him in my master bathroom. No matter what I'm doing he'll just lay there till I leave. My mother in laws cat used to do that quite often whe she was young. If she didn't make it in time to get in before you closed the door she woud just sit there and wait till you opened the door. She used to love to watch the water go down in the bowl after flushing it. She would come running from a sound sleep to watch the toilet flush. She's Fattie Wattie Willie grew up and I guess out grew the watching of the toilet flushing. |
Yes, Stomper is like a small child that always follows me around. If he is sleeping...he gets up to follow me around. I can't even go potty without him being there (or whinning at the door!). :) |
Gucci does this also. She always follows me everywhere I go, that includes the bathroom. She also licks the excess water after I get out of the shower. :rolleyes: |

Bailey runs at full speed when i go near the bathroom. he loves to come in there when i am in there. the other day i was getting into the shower and he jumped up like he wanted to come in so i picked him up and let the water fall on him. he loved it! much better then bathing him in the sink. i dont know if we will make it a habbit though. i just thought it was funny :D |
scrappy follows me to the bath room also,but if he dosent here me go to the bathroom he will come to the door and scratch at it until i let him in , :) |
