Where does your Yorkie Sleep? Can everyone please share with me where does your baby sleep. Mia sleeps with me now. I don't really like it because I end up no sleeping very well because I always think I'm going to crush her that's one. Another thing is she has had accidents on the bed so I"m constantly waking up to see if she needs to get down. I'm trying to get her a really nice bed that's off the ground and then get her used to that. Where can I get a really nice and comfy bed for her that's also cute? Can anyone recomend a wedsite? |
2 Attachment(s) Jackson sleeps with me! I did the crate thing for the first month and he got used to knowing that it was BED time... but when he was in the crate, he would wake up 1-2 times a night. When I started letting him sleep with me, he will sleep through the night! Usually from 10pm-7am. No accidents YET *knocks on wood* When he's just sleeping during the day or when I'm not home, he sleeps in his little bed I got him from Walgreens for $10. He absolutely LOVES the thing. Very comfy :) I attached a picture of him in it. |
Samson has 2 beds that are in the front room and he sleeps in both, we just bought a big bed for the new puppy, Harley, that they both can sleep in. this is from the forum and has a bunch of wonderful links that you can check out for beds. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...info-more.html |
1 Attachment(s) Chanel has her pen with her bed set up in the spare room next to our bedroom. She sleeps there at night. I bought her bed on ebay. Attached is a picture of it. |
Maija sleeps with us. Mostly because my husband works some nights and she makes me feel better but honestly she will sleep anywhere (check the pics forum and see hehee). I worry we will roll on her but mostly I think we keep her up more than the other way around. I am sure if you just do a search for beds you will find one. HTH... good luck. |
Where Laddy Sleeps 1 Attachment(s) I just bought Laddy a new bed off ebay for 50 dollars they have them at all price ranges and some really nice ones. :rolleyes:I am downloading the picture they had on there with it for you to see. Havent gotten it yet but when I do will post a picture of Laddy in his new bed;) |
1 Attachment(s) Will try this again. Didnt seem to post last time don't know what I did wrong. My little laddy at this time sleeps in his crate but just ordered him a new bed from ebay I will try to download the picture they had of it. It was only 50 dollars and looks beautiful. I will keep you up to date on how well Laddy likes his new bed when I recieve it with pictures of him in it. |
our mikey and gracie sleep with me and at frist i thougt the same thing that i would roll on them but they move if i move and they are both small just over 2lbs and mikey is just 3lbs .i did the crate on the bed till they were potty trained and then once i could start trusting them i started opening the crate and now well they rule the bed . it will all work out in whta ever you decide to do |
Missy started out sleeping in a crate inside her ex-pen, but she quickly wormed her way into my bed. I wouldn't have it any other way :) I'm not sure about beds that are off the ground, but I have purchased a bed from Diggy4 on this site and it's awesome. I'm just waiting for my Napsack bed from Chattiesmom to arrive in the mail. I know it will be great quality too because her harness and leashes are the best! |
Both of my babies sleep right between me and my hubby...and I wouldn't have it any other way either!!!! WE can't sleep without them. I would suggest that you put a bell or two on your baby...then you will hear the bells if she wakes up in the night. Daizy only had one accident and Tulip hasn't had any since I have had her... She's only 2.4 lbs...and I don't worry about squishing her anymore...cuz like someone else said..they move when we move! I look forward to our cuddle time at night!! ..I also would take them out to potty right before we go to bed. Hope you get it worked out. There are plenty of beds out there that would be adequate...if that is the route you wanna go. |
Suzi is in bed with me.... She can jump on and off the bed no problems what so ever. She is warmer that way, and I am a light sleeper so i am not worried about crushing her. :aimeeyork |
I brought Twinkle's bed from a farm shop near me, its not off the floor but it has quite high sides and a cushion inside it so she can snuggle right down. She also has a blanket in there too. The bed's in her crate which is in the kitchen. I like the idea of having her in bed with us but she loves her crate - I leave the door open all day and she'll often go in there to nap rather than on the sofa or something. I think she likes having her own little 'room' :) xxxx |
Rocky sleeps in his crate just outside out bedroom door. He slept in our room his crate for the first maybe 6 weeks then we moved him outside the door. Tried to move his crate into the livingroom but he just whined, he wanted to be near us! Hubby won't have dogs on the bed and even tho Rocky is fully housetrained, I like him being in his crate at night cause I know where he is and he's happy and safe. Last night I got up to get something and he was lying right out on his back, head back and paws up in the air - he's obviously comfortable! In the daytime we tried a bigger crate downstairs but he hated it so he has a little bed at the bottom of the stairs near the front door and he loves it there! |
Callie normaly sleeps on her big comfy oversized doggy pillow covered up with her warm blankie or in her soft doggy house. Sometimes if Im sick or she dosent feel good she will lay on the bed with me. When she was little and going into her crate at night we would say go to bed and give her a treat for going to bed and we still do that so maybe that is something you should try when you get a bed for her. I'm not really sure where the best place to get beds from is but maybe try ebay? |
Jeter ends up by me in bed every night. He moves from his crate to his doggy bed to my bed:) Axl and Yumi Yasha will sleep in their crate with the doors open or they jump up on the couch, though Axl has found the foot stool very comfy the past 3 nights. |
all of our babies sleep in bed with one of us  |
Where does your baby sleep Mine sleep in the bedroom in their own bed. They love it there. We tuck them in at night like you would a child. They stay there all night and then get up to use the bathroom and then it is play time!:) montecore |
A Little of subject but have a ? When we first took Laddy in for his initial check up our vet who has yorkie's of his own told us that they tend to have weeker knees so not to let them jump from furniture and especially high beds which ours is. So for this reason we have never allowed Laddy to sleep with us. Have any of you had issues with your furbabies hurting themselves jumping from your beds? |
husband won't allow charlie on the couch or bed..so he sleeps in his crate at night time. Plus we are still potty training him. His crate used to be in our room at night time but for the past couple of days he has been sleeping in the livingroom. He will bark very loud if he needs anything plus it is warmer out in the livingroom. |
When we first got Piper she always slept in her x-pen and comfy bed in the kitchen. I have a 22 year old son who lives at home and never goes to bed at night. He would be gong in out of the kitchen with his friends all night long. They would take her out of the pen and play with her and then put her back in. Sometimes she would cry but usually settled back in quickly. On Dec. 29 Piper had hip surgery and the first night home she cried and cried in her pen. I felt so bad for her I brought her in my bed. She settled her little body next to mine and fell right to sleep and didn't make a peep or move around all night. She has been in my bed ever since and she is as good as gold all night. I just love her little body snuggled up against mine. |
Harley has slept in our bed a couple times, but he prefers to sleep in his crate. It has a bed inside it that he likes and the blanket given to me by his breeder. I guess we move around too much or something, but he asks to go in his crate at night. |
Rocky sleeps in his bed that is on our bed. |
2 Attachment(s) My girls all have their very own crate. They know which one is theirs and they run get into them every night and i go along and zip them up. I love knowing they are right beside my bed and that they aren't running all over the house at night. DH unzips them in the morning and takes them outside to potty and then they all jump into bed with me and we get to snooze for another hour or two. Attachment 263163 Attachment 263164 |
1 Attachment(s) My Harry sleeps with us since we got him, that was 6 years ago, when I got Prada last June, hubby told me that she would be better in her own bed since she was so small, so I went to toys R us and got a cute pen like bed and she LOVES it, she ask to be put in it when she is tired and ready for bed.. Miss Chanel sleeps in her pink lulu next to Prada's crib.. hugs, Carmen in nj |

All the bed pictures are very cute :). Yorkies look like little angels when they are sleeping hehe but when they are awake, another story lol.. Fufufashions, the crate put side by side is so cute :D..and to think they know which is their own is so cute too. |
Where does he sleep In bed with us..... he's now 9 mos old and started at about 2mos old. If I try and snuggle with my wife he gets really jealous and jumps on top of us and wiggles his way between us. :rolleyes:Boy has my love life suffered. but I love him just the same. |
Yorkie Sleeps Hi I have two yorkies ........the 1yr old sleeps with me (took til she was about 8 months because I have cats too and being territorial - she'd pee on the bed when the cat tried to sleep with us). She got over that after having to go back to sleeping in the crate and now is back to sleeping with me. My 3 mos old yorkie, Widget (Wild Midget) sleeps in her crate IN my bedroom. My problem with the 1yr old is that she has designated herself as the household NARC and whenever the cats are getting into something - she alerts (barks) me and chases them. I've tried closing the door so she stays calmly in bed with me but then when she has to go, she can't get to the kitchen pad to relieve herself. And if I leave the door open...........she jumps and barks every time she hears the cats up to something! I too was afraid of rolling over on her in the beginning - but at 6lbs now - she's pretty solid and strong and seems to know right where to lay where that won't happen! Good Luck - I think Yorkies are the most WONDERFUL family members! |
Well Dromies and Milky have always slept with us. I have never rolled over on her. My son, who has a heart condition was always very very small for his age. At 3 he was only about 16 lbs, and always slept with us. So I got use to checking behind me before I rolled over, and the habit has just stuck. Now, it would just feel weird without her being there! |
what a beautiful bed! She must feel so special! Now i feel bad that my babies are in regular "dog" crates! What a good mommy you are! |
I love your babies' beds!!!!!!! How cool is that!!!!!!!!! |
