| My Roxy likes to sit on the arm of the living room sofa and watch for the postman or anyone else going by. She barks at all of them (Bubba could care less ) Roxy does get excited when she hears the mailbox open & close, but it is on the outside of our house, so she can't get to the mail

| My Romeo goes nuts when he sees the mailman. In general he loves people, but also goes nuts when the pizza man comes. It's like he wants to tear them up. My parlor window is about 15 feet from the sidewalk and he'll sit on the back of the couch and watch everyone going by. When he spots the mailman down the street he starts going crazy. I think it's cause he actually comes up to the door. He goes a little nuts when there are workmen on the road.If the mailman came the same time everyday, I would pull the blinds shut. LOL |

| Toto looks forward to the mailman, deliveries, people in our neighborhood who walk, etc. The funny thing, we will hear them greeting her, "Hi, Toto"!! Most of them probably don't even know my name, but they certainly know Toto!!

| In South Africa, the postmen ride bicycles. My Maltese, Nash, hates bicycles and just goes bonkers if he is out in the front courtyard, where he can see out to the street, when the mail is delivered! If the postman walks up to the house, he just does his "greeting" bark, but the minute that bicycle come into view, all h*ll breaks lose!

| if your post man likes doggies, you can offer to have the post man feed your baby a treat each time he is delivering mail to your house. i think this way your baby will get used to him and know that he doesn't need to 'protect' you from the post man or be scared that someone is coming to the house.
