| Hi, new here Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. I don't have a Yorkie yet but joined the forum to learn about them cuz am thinking of getting one in a few months. Glad for all the info out there as I was looking on cl and kiiji and now won't go that route. My last pet was a male Bichon, Charley - it's been nearly a year now and I'm ready to welcome a new pet to my home that I share with my Mother. I was thinking of getting a little girl this time, mostly because I love the name Juliette . I've always loved little Yorkies so I thought I'd finally join the club. haha. Still have much to learn about the breed and am happy to have found a place to learn. thanks!! Smithy |

| Thanks everyone! Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!! No, I don't have a furbaby quite yet. . I think I may wait a month or two till the weather up here gets a bit warmer.... I'm pretty sure I'm going to go with an AKC when I do though. Although, we recently had a HUGE puppy mill operation closed down in the area (thank God) here in washington state. They found hundreds of puppies in deplorable conditions. Most of the females, a good 80% are pregnant and due soon so the shelters here will be overwhelmed with pups. I'm torn between getting one of those pups or not. A big part of me wants to but my last dog was a rescue from a mill and he had tons of medical problems. We were always at the vet it seemed like. I would've spent any amount on him because I loved him- so don't get me wrong, it's just that it was a heartache and he suffered a lot. So although I'm torn at this point, I'm not in a huge hurry. I love that puppy stage and although it's a ton of work it's so worth it to be a part of. I'm still researching Kennels. There don't seem to be a lot in this area but maybe because I'm just starting to look. Anyway, thanks again everyone for the warm welcome, love this forum there's so much on here!!! take care |
