I'm new here and have been searching posts over the last 2 weeks trying to figure out what could be wrong with my precious Dixie.
Well, we found out....she had acute lymphotic leukemia and had to be put down on Friday. We are devastated!!! She was only 2 1/2 years old!
She was fine one day, sick the next, and gone 2 1/2 weeks later. We were to the vets several times, doing bloodwork, giving meds, etc. She perked up for a couple of days, but then went right back downhill again.
We're sad, angry, shocked, and so lonely without her! My kids are having a really hard time....we've had so many family members with cancer (they've lost their 2 grandpa's at age 60 and 67, and now their grandma who is almost 70 is dieing of lung cancer)....we never expected to lose our beloved dog to one of these horrible cancerous diseases!
Ok....I'm done venting!

I am so sorry for you and your family in the loss of little Dixie.:( I know it must be so very hard and I dread the day that one of mine go to rainbow bridge. We recently had to rehome on of our fur-kids and that was difficult in itself.......even more difficult than I imagined.

I hope your family can take some comfort in knowing that Dixie is not sick or suffering anymore and that your hearts heal remembering the wonderful 2 years that you did have with her.

RIP little Dixie. She is healthy now and playing with many at the Rainbow Bridge. I know that is not comforting right now but know she had a wonderful life because she was with you.

I\'m so sorry about your little Dixie, I know how hard it is to have a sick pup and then lose them. Soon the precious memories you have of Dixie will make you smile again.

Wendy, I am so sorry for your loss. What a blessing Dixie must have been to your family. It sounds like she was very loved, and I am sure she knew just how much. I know losing a furbaby is an unbearable pain, I have been there too many times. May you keep strong her sweet memory and lean on your loved ones.

Wendy, I am so very sorry for your loss. Little Dixie sounds like she was a true Yorkie Princess. I am so glad that you found this site - many of us know the pain of losing a beloved - you are not alone and we truly understand the pain.

Wendy, I am so sorry for the loss of your little Dixie! Please know that you\'re in my Thoughts and Prayers. Remember all the wonderful times you had with her in the weeks to come.
