I agree, ignoring is the best way. We are trying to crate train our new puppy and while I'm a stay at home mom, when I need to run errands, I'll need the puppy to be crated so he doesn't hurt himself or anything, so we're just doing a little bit at a time in the crate to get him used to it. :) |
If you don't ignore him/her and run to them when they are crying, you are just enabling them and telling them, if I cry, then I'll be let out. Then when you really need them to be quiet, they won't. |
