| NEED A CT VET for my Yorky!!!!!! Hi everyone! I need help! Im looking for a good vet CT (preferably the Fairfield County area). I currently use Trumbull Animal Hospital and we are very unhappy with the diagnosis they've given our Yorky. They told us she has a food allergy and thats the reason she is constantly scratching and making terrible noises. We've followed what they've told us not to feed her and given her the meds and she continues to get worse. Shes getting thinner and thinner and now is loosing her hair. I need a referral!!!! HELP US PLEASE!!! |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Have you looked into a specialty clinic that would have a dermatologist on staff? Or a University vet school? I hope you can find out what the cause is. Have they done skin scrappings? How old is you baby. I have a pom who had similar symptoms who was first diagnosed with a thyroid problem but then was diagnosed with Cushing's disease which usually affects older dogs, like 10 years and up. I also have one of my yorkies who scrtaches and we had all the testing done and food elimination diet and never was able to find out what she was allergic to. She did not have weight loss though. They finally found a medicine that worked, it's called Atopica. I hope you can get some help.
