So I was bragging in my avatar about how Eddie could handle the -5 F temperatures. I think I jinxed us. The temperature has risen above zero only one day since, and today it's -19!

Jack is just chillin', but Eddie doesn't know what to do with all his energy. Rusty, meanwhile, has developed the zoomies. When I take him outside for a second, he runs in circles and barks at me.

Today, I tried to take them for a short walk. I DROVE them to the park and let Eddie and Rusty out. Rusty took about 20 steps and started limping. Eddie only had three booties on (I'd dropped one!). He lasted longer than Rusty, but he eventually pulled up on his bootieless leg.

Send some heat our way!

Yes, yes! If everyone on YT could send us just one box of summer air, we might make it through this cold spell!

Edit: I suppose there is one good thing. You know how you always have to worry about the dogs running outside when you leave the door open a crack? That's not the case anymore. They don't want to be outside!

You could come to Scottsdale next month!!! We could have a yorkie playdate, but ours would probably need cooling blankets and fans to help them deal with the Az sun :rolleyes:

19 below...that's insane. No one normal could possibly live in Alaska.

Btw, our temperature today was 68 degrees. :D

And here I was complaining about the Chicago weather!!! Eddie looks so cute!! I just love your action shots. Hope it warms up a little soon.

But once I realized there was a - in front of that.... HOLY MOLY! I complain when its 29 here!!! WAY TO COLD FOR ME!!

Awe cute. You could come visit us in Central Florida. Yesterday it got to about 82... but we did have a cold front move through today and we do have a low of 44 tonight.

Now Thats Cold!!! He looks adorable in that picture, but, you need to keep those babies warm!! No walks in the park until you lose the -!!:D

I will take EXCELLENT care of them. On second thought, put poor old Rusty on the plane too!

Eddie and Jack will love to play with Ranger and Ryder, and we are meeting Ann, Wylie and Marcel, and hopefully Nancy and Joey!! See what you're going to miss?!?!?

Everybody ASSumes that we're miserable in this cold. Oh, contraire. Here's a video showing what fun subzero can be. And, yes, there is a Yorkie in it, so it qualifies for YT. :)

Load up the babies and your family and head to Georgia! The temp here today will be 62 - bright and sunny. There's a beautiful state park about 5 miles from my house that's kind of a canyon with rapids, huge rocks in the middle of the river, and all the wildlife you could want. (Sorry - no moose!!) Look up Sprewell Bluff.

Jack, Eddie, and Rusty can chase deer with Lucy and Rebel while you and your family soak up the sunshine and make memories to take home with you. Beautiful photo ops!

Come on down!!
