Every rescue I've ever dealt with or seen neuters and spays before adoption. |
Rescues do spay or neuter before letting a pet go. Years ago, we adopted a dog from the Humane Soc. shelter, or the SPCA, I don't remember now which it was. The procedure then was to pay for the dog, and after presenting proof of spay/neuter you were refunded a portion of your money. IDK, if that is still their procedure or not. |

Oh ok. So she probably rescued him from the Humane Society - not a rescue. I thought the rescues would have it done prior to adoption but wasn't sure. And again, I think a rescue would require her to notify them or bring him back if things didn't work out. Thanks Ladies! |
At the age he was when se got him, the humane society would have hd him neutered also. Didn't she say she had him for a few months and he was 1 1/2 when she rehomed him? that would have made him a year or better when she got him. Unless I read something wrong. |

Any rescue group or shelter would have required that she return the dog to them, not adopt it out herself. |
