Are all the rest of the pups in the litter spoken for? Maybe you can get one of Holly's siblings? |

No you didnt sound cruel at all, i should have explained more in my opening post :). Well they have one more little girl left now and she is very pretty like her sister but the difference she is darker in colour. They are going to send me a more recent pic later on tonight as she has alittle more colour in her now. I will attach a pic of her from a couple of weeks ago. I know what its like to bring a puppy home and care about it for a few weeks only for it to die. About 5 years ago we brought a lovely little Cavalier King Charles, he was such a loving puppy. We hadnt had him long and he died of a lung problem :(. Unfortunalty we had brought him from a 'puppy farm' not knowing it was until we left and the vet explained more. We couldnt go back there as the lady was very scarey looking and she had Rottweilers dogs guarding the place. So we just reported her to the local vets. We didnt look for another dog since. Until now, my mum has 3 yorkies and we thought we would have one of our own now. We made sure we done it properly this time and the couple are really nice and you can tell they love thier dogs. We will see how it goes with this other little girl. and i will keep you updated. Thanks again for replying :) |
That's good news, really :D! Don't be too put off by the puppy's darker coloring: the one thing you can count on with Yorkie pups is that their colors WILL change. My male is 16 months old and is still pretty much black and tan ... his head is lighter, but he's still pretty dark on his back - but slowly changing. The little girl is 14 months old and is the same way. I actually like the darker colors they are, and hope they don't change too much, but I know they will. That will be OK. I'm just saying that even though Pup 2 may be darker NOW than Holly was, it doesn't mean that she won't lighten up in color. Good luck with your decision. Perhaps it will be a Happy New Year after all! |
Sorry for your loss. :( |
I am sorry for your loss. That happened to me also when I was waiting to adopt My second one. I hope you find a pup to adopt soon |
I'm sorry for your loss, it is so sad. I thought Daisy would lighten up but she stayed the dark colors. I just love her that way. I get so many compliments on her beautiful coloring. I don't think you will be disappointed if she stays dark, I really don't. |

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. Please don't pick a new baby based on it's puppy color. You can't be sure what color they will be as adults. I have two baby girls that have the same father but different mothers. One is nearly 8 months old and is blond with a silver back and the other is 4 months old and quite dark like your little Holly was. She seems to be changing into a lighter tan face and has some lighter hairs coming through on her back now too. I actually hope they will be different from each other. |
Sorry to hear about your loss...The new baby looks so cute. Do you get to see her in person or just thru pictures? |
RIP Sweet Holly - you had such a short life, but you were still very much loved. I'm so sorry. :( |
Thanks everyone :) Quote:
