As for Kricket - it's almost 9am, New Years Day and I'm up bright an early for someone who just went to bed at 5am! lol But I'm still waiting to hear from the fostermom. I'm gonna try and call her at 9:30am-10am if she doesn't call me after reading my email. Oh, how I pray that he's still available... Since Julien did agree to take Kricket in I had to do a little bardering - I had to promise not to give him so much grief when he goes on his "dirtbiking trips" with the boys... I had to promise that Kricket would learn to be obedient just like Deegan, I had to promise that if he upsets the dynamics of the home in a huge way or doesn't get along with Deegan or hurts Deegan in any way that I'll have to rehome him. I think those are valid and I'm willing to do my damndest to make sure none of that happens. Oh yeah - and he wants to change his name too. So YTer's - please pray that I make this work!! For the pups sake. |
Happy New Year!!! How wonderful is your husband! What a terrific gift. Hope the pup is available. Can't wait to see pictures!!! :animal36:animal36 |

There must something in the air! My husband agreed to go "look" at the 1 yr old Yorkie/min pin mix tonight! We are on our way in just a little bit. My fingers are crossed that she is the one! ~Shelly |

He was running the streets and was taken to a shelter where no one ever claimed him. |

Here is another gem....Cody came to me from a shelter with messy skin..had a fungal and also bacterial infection. Black, almost leather looking skin...elephant looking skin in spots. He was put on antibiotics and I was told to bathe him in Selsun Blue shampoo followed with a 50/50 mix of vinegar and water. His before and after pics are dramatic! I am with you...they are ALL beautiful!! Attachment 259554 Attachment 259555 |

Nature's Recipe I was at the groomer today (yes, she worked on New Year's Day!) and we were talking about his coat. He is getting older, and I have been thinking about a short cut. She told me that if I ever decide to really do it, to please cut it myself. haha She said after I botch it, she will even it out, but she is not keen on cutting that hair. I always say that George is proof that God has a sense of humor...he gave George MY hair. :p I would love to have a head of hair like that! |

Thank you..yes, he is! And a TOTAL doll baby! He was turned into a shelter with his AKC papers  looking like that...and elderly man who said he could not care for him. (wonder what gave him the first clue). The poor thing had apparently never had any toys. My son and his girlfriend taught him how to play. He LOVES his balls! He is so funny...hits them with his paw to make them squeak! He also is Mr. Curiosity. He MUST examine every bag that comes in my home. He will bark and bark until he gets to put his head in. He never takes anything out...just wants to SEE. He is 12 now and has some medical issues...renal stones, enlarged heart and liver...it kills me to think of the day I might lose him. I have had him since he was 8. |

Sorry about the medical issues... Getting old sucks - being human or not. I was thinking the other day about how I know one day we're gonna have to go through the pain of losing Deegan too... I tear up just thinking about it - and he's not even 4 yet. I had to put down my Sheltie almost 5 years ago - still hurt. Try not to think about it too much and make the best out of the time you still have. |
Cody, George, Armani, Pippi, and all the rest are so well taken care of and loved by you. :luvu: I have to say that you give the most loving and nutruring care to all of your little ones. What you are capable of doing for all of these little pups is so amazing yet goes unnoticed by others. But I know that look in their eyes, undying devotion, trust and love. Then when the right home comes along you need to let them go to open your heart to another poor little one. You are my IDOL as I could never do what you have done to help for so many pups.:notworthy |

The reward is in seeing them blossom! I love the pups that I see some of the breeders selling and have been tempted many times, but my heart is in rescue. It is just so rewarding..they really DO know and appreciate what you do for them! |

Yes, old age is not fun...although I must say I enjoy the senior yorkies. I just hate when their time is up. And I know what you mean about that hurt...I lost one in July 2006 ..my Maxwell .. and I swear he took a piece of my heart with him. I still cry sometimes when I think of him. |
