Silk Has Been Found!!!!!
 
Praise God. I just got an e-mail from Ukeka. Silk has been spotted in a guys yard by the mailman.

I couldn't understand much more, but the good news is that SILK HAS BEEN FOUND. I am so happy I could scream!!!!

I told her to send me details when she regains her composure :D

WOW - how lucky is THAT - in this world it's WAY TOO SCARY when a small dog goes missing - THIS IS GREAT NEWS !! Thank you for telling us - I hate to admit it but I was pretty scared for Silk - this really is fantastic

Ok, I realize that Silk has been found. But does she have him back? Or does she have to someway have to prove that he is hers??
I sure hope that she has him home safe & sound! What an ordeal she's been through.

Good point. I hope he's back home with his mommy where he belongs. What happened tot he guy whose yard he was found in? Did he steal Silk? Didn't he see the flyers and think about returning him?

i know....... if he was in this guys yard! silk was obviously stolen right? i hope the guy doesnt try to pull a fast one on her... i think she should call the police and have them escort her to retreive her "property" from this guy (and bring pictures to back up her claims) was the dog microchipped? if it was microchipped she could get it scanned and then provide proof that the telephone listed is hers

you never know. maybe the guy didn't have a fence up in his yard, and silk just wandered in. we didn't have a fence and a little begal puppy came into our yard.

I just asked because i was wondering if this was the dog that was stolen FROM someones yard....... sorry it is so hard to keep track of posts on here... so is silk the dog that was stolen from the owners fenced in yard?

You know, I'm pretty certain she said Silk was microchipped. I'd go the police route too instead of confronting someone myself. I know this isn't the same, but a friend had a bike stolen, found out where it was, had the serial number etc., had an officer go with them, got the bike back.

i didn't know a dog was stolen from someone's yard, boy am i lost. sorry about that! :)

If I ever caught the person who stole one of my dogs, I would get my dog back with or without any proof or a microchip and god help the person who took my dog! :mad: I hope Silk is healthy and safely at home.

Are they sure it is Silk and not just another yorkie? None yorkie people can't tell the difference from 1 yorkie to another.

Thank god he was found i can only imagine what a week she has had. In a case like this what happens i mean she had signs up and everything can the person get in trouble for keeping a "missing/stolen" dog

Here's another update from Ukeka:

She is still at work, but she called the police. She is going to have them go with her. Silk is all black -- he looks like a black poodle, not a Yorkie (although he's a Yorkie-Poo). (I saw his picture in her flyer) and is too distinctive for anyone to dispute.

I told her to take her i.d., a flyer that she posted and another adult in addition to the police in case the guy is an idiot! But....the guy could be a good guy and just kept Silk in his yard until he found out further information.

Ukeka was putting up signs this morning. She finished her flyers yesterday.

In this case the microchipping will work to her advantage!!!

I bet the guy that has him has a story too. Oh you know, I just found her, didn't know, someone gave her to me....yada, yada, yada. Guess it doesn't matter long as she gets home :) I found a chocolate lab puppy once, kept her overnight, the next day there were literally hundreds of flyers out for her. I'd have had to said I was blind to miss them.

Thought of something else.....ever see a lost dog's reaction when their owners show up? While that lab puppy was friendly and kissy to us....she went nuts when her owner showed up. They wouldn't have even needed proof she belonged them (or them to her)....it was obvious ;)

Oh! I am keeping my fingers crossed! Please God make it be him and she gets him right back! If it is truly him, I wopuld just take him and then ask questions! This is the best news in the world today! That mailman needs a million kisses from us all!
