No, my hubby adores Marcel and Wylie to no living end - they are our babies and he loves animals. Maybe your fiance could bond through some playing activity or walks? Giving some treats? |
Several times . One day she asked me to choose between the Yorkies or her . I made my choice and never ever regret it . |
My DH is crazy about the dogs but I have to say that Kalina is mine. She worships me and rarely pays him much attention (or anyone else for that matter). I attribute this to the hours and hours we spent stranded at the airport together in Indiana when I went to get her and my flight was cancelled. She went from her mommy and siblings to staring at me for over 24 hours and she REALLY bonded to me. Then we got Matilda and she thinks her daddy is the best thing since sliced bread. He loves and cares for Kalina, but she's just not as receptive to him or anyone else. |
I tell him he needs to get himself his own pup lol. Stormy came from what the vet says was probably an abusive situation. It looks like it was a man who abused her so she is very untrusting. He has tried to take her on walks and give treats. She doesn't show any interest. She will sleep with him but only if he picks her up and takes her, she NEVER has come to him when he calls her. I understand his frustration but I love MY DOG and I am not letting her go. lol |
Only time we have fought about them is recently with Maci & her potty training!!!specially if he steps in it! With Mac never..He "thinks" Mac is his dog! |

We didn't fight but I was always resistant to getting a dog. So we talked alot about the "pros" of dog ownership  My kids and dh wanted one very bad. So when I finally caved in it was with the distinct understanding that it was "THEIR" dog. I would help potty train to avoid accidents in the house....but the feeding ,walking, and playing with "it" was all on them. After week one or so I was sooo in love with that stinkin' little pup that I did as much as I could for her. Sydney is a very loving dog and she has a different bond with us all. She loves to play and run with the boys , she loves to lay with me at night when everyone else is asleep and watch t.v or listen to music. BUT personally I think above all she is a daddy's girl. She knows when he is home before we do , and just loves him to pieces. I think while she loves us all , she loves him most or just knows he is "pack leader: or something. Chloe is really more of a Mama's girl. She will follow me and whine if I try to leave the room . But she still loves to snuggle up on his chest at night and he loves it. He is always bringing them home special treats and surprises , so he takes his roll as "dad" to the girls seriously ;) We never fight about them...Well except he wants another dog and I feel I can only handle two , so he is trying to wear me down.:D |
me and my bf dont ususally fight except when he gets upset that I am always playing and snuggling and cuddling bailee and paying her more attn than him! |

My babies like my boyfriend, tolerate him I guess. But they are sooooo attached to me its scary! LOL If im not there, they will snuggle with him, the second I show my face they want me. If he gets to my house before me they will greet him quickly and then stand by the front door waiting for me. He says sometimes they will wait 3 hours by the door until I get home and not pay ANY attention to him at all. How cute yet sad is that? LOL However a sure fire way to get them to go to him is for him to cover himself in a blanket and me to not have one. They will go and cuddle with him under the blanket. They love being under something. He could be annoyed by this, but he knows that it will do him no good, they are my babies and that is not going to change. He accepts it and loves when they do go to him and gives them treats or plays with them when he can and when its time he knows they will always prefer me to cuddle up to go to sleep. |
We don't ever fight about them. I think Robert feels like Ranger is magically his dog since I got Ryder ;) Ranger sleeps on his lap sometimes at night and Robert is always so proud and always has to make sure I see that Ranger is on his lap lol! It's pretty cute! He loves them as much as I do, for which I am VERY thankful! |
Jealous BF's! I've had Artie 5 yrs. old a little longer than my BF of 3 yrs. so he has an Attitude he was my first Yorkie and Chris is my 3rd BF, that Artie is dealing with. He is always making rude comments. That I just ignore, he knows how much they mean to me! In fact when I started dating him I had just gotten my first female Yorkie, Abigayle as an Easter present from my ex-BF (He bought Artie as my Birthday present the year before). They were the only things I got to keep after we spilt-up after 6 yrs., oh' yeah I forgot the Apple Computer/Laptop and 27 inch Screen that I SOLD/Pawned for $1,000.00! My 2 Yorkies were the Best thing that I ever got as "Present"! They're the only Gift that I ever got that keep on Giving, to me! He tried to bond w/both of them but Abigayle is the only one he "Trained", it was'nt until Artie & Abigayle had a Litter of Puppies (3) and we kept the runt female "Pom Pom" is only 5 lbs. @ 2 1/2 yrs. old. He claimed her from Birth as his. He used to only like "Boxer's" and other Agressive Breeds like "Pitbulls" but I sucessfully converted him into fellow "Yorkie Lover", we still argue about them b/c he says I treat them better than him. I can't replace my Yorkies but I can......! You know what mean. |
