I love those shelves - we use the white coated-wire ones (like this, but long and deep), so they can still see through them, but the wires are maybe an inch apart - so they work great. |
Rain sounds so much better than the mess we have here.. good old New England... Slushie Hail, Snow, Rain!! Phfftt Yucky. I really like this idea... I am going to go to Home Depot this weekend and look around. It will be perfect for us as we have a small apartment but a very big living room that extends into our dinning room area.... cornering off a place for our little Miss will work out great. :) Thanks for all the advice! What did you use to weigh her each week... I want to buy a scale to see how she does. Her mom and dad are both small, but the sister and brother of the litter seem to be double her. I am hoping she grows to 4lbs, but either way she will be out little love bug. :p It just seems so scary that she is so small... and Alfie will tower over her. :( Quote:

I myself, would get a baby scale, I think they're the most accurate |

LOL... good thing I work at the Post Office... (not where they sell stamps though)... I will have to take a trip and see if they have them for sale in the lobby. Thank you both for the advise, I will have to switch her food over slowly as well to match what Alfie eats and I am guessing this may cause some gaining issues. (I may not start the switch for a few weeks though to keep her eating steady until she is a little bigger). Quote:

I got Duke at 7 weeks (now knowing better that was too young) and 1.6lb. He is now 14months and at around 5.5lb-6lbs. That's the size of his parents as well; although I heard the liter runt is now almost 10lbs so maybe the owner over feed him. |
10lbs?? That's like my Alfie he is a big 9lbs and still growing and he was the smallest... not sure what we did>>LOL I am getting more excited every day that the 24th gets closer... its a really big deal for me to be bringing our little Evie home finally. I actually contact the breeder and purchased first pick of the litter befor they were even conceived... LOL  Quote:
