lol, I don't know... the Post Muncher probably got it :p:D To answer your question, no I don't let Kingston sleep with me. I'm Alpha, not him! :D |
Franklin and Maggie do not sleep with us either. They have before but it's uncomfortable for me. Also, I don't want them to get in the habit of having to have us sleep with them in case they need to stay with someone else. |
Ok, this is what my ORIGINAL post said: My two year old yorkie, Gypsy, sleeps with us and wakes up every two hours during the night. She just want to gives us kisses and I tell her to lie down and eventually, she goes to sleep for another two hours and then we repeat the entire rountine again. I assume this has something to do with the fact that her favourite hobby is sleeping (during the day). However, She gets plenty of excersize during the day. However, she ONLY does this when she sleeps with US! She slept with my little brother when he was visiting and slept all the way through the night (and also sleeps like champ when she has sleep overs at "Grandma's") Anybody have any tips? My husband's heart will break if I make him move her off the bed. It is kind of funny because our 15 month old yorkie, Prissy, also sleeps with us and she sleeps like a rock. In fact I have to wake her up in the morning so that she can pee before we leave for work. |
my little Zoe does not sleep with me, ll ,y ohter small dogs did, but i got a bit smarter as the years passed, and decided, i just didnt want that with this one,, |
If you dog's don't sleep with you, do you kennel them, or do they sleep in a bed in your room? |
i have a bassinet type pack and play my little zoe sleeps in, i have debated on a small kennel, and yes it is in my room |

Absolutely Ellie sleeps with me. Neither of us would have it any other way. :) She doesn't wake me up at night unless she hears something and barks and in that case she needs to. She hates her crate and loves the bed, so she gets her way. |
I dont even let Junior on my bed. MY bed is mommys big bed and he has his big boy bed:cool:. I plan to keep it this way for ever.... I have to ask because its going to bother me (you dont have to answer) but how do you and the hubby get "Quality time" if the dogs are there in the bed with ya???:D again you dont have to answer but its just another reason Junior has his own bed! |

oh man I wish I had somthing to say that would help.... my Gracie sleeps like a rock... but she sleeps with us... but she only likes sleeping next to my hubby or in the middle of us... lol:rolleyes: hubby trys to put her next to me... but she always goes back on his side... lol no matter how hard I try.... she NEVER stays on my side....:rolleyes: |
Chloe sleeps in a big playyard that holds her bedding and potty pads. We used a playyard and not a crate for her because she is pee-pad trained so she can go on the pad at night. Our other dog is bigger and is outside potty trained , so we have always used a crate for her. They seem to be O.K. with it. The playyard and crate are in our back laundry room area. I think she wakes you up all through the night because she can;) .. My son woke up every two hours without fail until he was over two years old. He wanted a drink , a hug , or just to say " Love Mommy" (that did melt me everytime :D) and we all knew he did it because he could...:) I think your pup knows you will wake and give her the kisses , thats why she does it:D |
Nope we sleep in our bed, they sleep in their beds. We sleep in the bedroom, three of them sleep in the family room and the little one in the laundry room in a cage, just until she's out of the chewing stage. She's housebroken, but, still wants to chew wires.:( |
My 3 yorkies sleep with me but my Pom likes to sleep on the floor. But my pom is elderly and sick so she wakes me up every 2 hours to eat or go outside. Then they are all up and I haven't had a good night's sleep in over a year. I just can't put Maya out of the bedroom. |
Gus sleeps :snore: on the floor next to my bed. I made him a small, cozy place between the bed and furniture.. However, recently he's been waking me up at 4 AM :clock:. So, I now let him sleep with me from 4 AM to 5 AM. It's either this or get up a 4 AM. It's working very nicely. We're both happy :). |
All four of mine sleep in my king size bed with me including the puppy mill girl chloe that i recieved yesterday. |
Darby's Mom My little girl Darby does sleep with us. She doesn't start out in our bed, she has a bed right beside us. But she always ends up in our bed around midnight. When my husband gets up in the morning and starts the coffee and comes back with a cup for me, she growls at him!!! We think it's cute! But most everything she does is Cute!:):):) |

Most nights Gucci is happy to sleep in his crate next to the bed, but every once in a while, he needs to sleep on the bed. He likes to curl up near my feet. I was very worried about allowing him on the bed, but he seems to do really well and knows not to get too close to the edge. |
I use a doggy tent for my 2...they have comfy beds and blankets and sleep through the night. |

They have to spend some time playing with their toys (not on the bed). The funny part is that my Husband started all of this shananigans of sleeping in the bed one night when I was away on business. . . |

Baxter sleeps on the bed with me. He'll whine if I put him in his crate (only at night will he whine. he likes it during the day. :rolleyes: ) , so I let him sleep with me. Plus, I like it that way. It makes me feel safer. At first he'll curl up on my lap, then he'll move to my pillow and play with my hair, and finally he'll curl up on the other pillow next to the wall. We sleep like that until I wake up and then I take him outside. He's very good about sleeping with me and I think I've already begun to spoil him, but he's just too darn cute! :) |

3 Attachment(s) Sunnie sleeps either between our pillows or in her bed on the floor. Rocky sleeps under me, he just turned 6 and has slept under me or in the back of my shirt since he was 8 wks old. Maggie sleeps with daddy under the covers. Jack sleeps wherever Jack wants to sleep.....usually on my pillow or on my back or legs or between us. He does let me know if there's fresh snow in the yard during the night...gotta love that doggie door. If we are puppy sitting the guest dog gets first choice of bed spots. We have had 6 at one time before. I start the babies in bed with us at 8-12 wks on a blanket between the pillows. |

Sasha & CeCe both sleep with us.....I love waking up to their kisses in the morning (always seems to be about 5 minutes before the alarm goes off) and they sleep soundly.:wub: |
