No one is saying that we want dogs to be tortured in order to have these mixed breeds around, but if you think about it, its not gonna just stop and making people feel bad because they like the mixed breed doesnt do anything to hel;p matters. We all haveour preferences and some may not approve, but one thing is for sure, WE ALL LOVE OUR BABIES AND WOULD DO ANYTHING FOR THEM.

Good for you, You love your babies. I love all aniamls. The human race though i am not so fond of. And as far as making people feel bad isnt going to help. That statement is DEAD wrong. I am not saying things to make people feel bad (Although if people read about how most of these breeder dogs are kept and they dont feel bad there is something worng with them) I am postiong to make the unaware, Aware. And that my dear, does indeed help. I am posting the TRUTH. For the people that buy these dogs that know where mostof them come from, but dot care because of tehwhole out of sight out of mind thing, i think tehy are truley terrible peop;e and just as bad as the breeders. Digging your head in the gro9und doesnt help much either now does it?

Yeah, that's what I don't really understand... but then again, when I was looking at animals at the shelter they were anywhere from 150-500 bucks themselves! Maybe dogs prices just went up in general? lol

My yorkie was $350, the Shichon I was looking at was originally $1,100 but I was going to get a "deal" of $900.

You are entitled to your opinions, just as others are entitled to theirs. No one should have to defend their mixed dogs. Would you like it if someone bashed your dog? I wouldn't think so.

It's the holiday season... try to keep a kind (and open) heart :)

Adoption prices have to go up, because the popularity of these mutts went up. More dogs to take care of = More money needed for vet bills, food, toys, shelter, S/N. And it keeps going. If these Designer breeds werent in such High demand, the need for hhigher adoption prices wouldnt be so high.MOst people that work at shelters are VOLUNTARILY there, meaning they do not get paid for what they do, but do it simply out of the goodness of there hearts. There isnt enough money donated to pay people to do these things. Every penny from the adoption funds and donations go towards teh animals in some way, shape or form.

Some of the comments made, are making me and what i do sound like a mockery. I am trying to defend myself and wht I am doing to try to help. But it seems that by trying to help, I am becomming a horribe person for defending these animals. And that is down right rude in itself.

No one disagrees that careless breeding is wrong. I would never try to breed my dogs, i know im not qualified. I completly agree in making sure people are breeding dogs the way it should be done. I dont buy from puppy mills, pet shops or backyard breeders. I comend you on your passion for defending animals and i 100% am with you when it comes to animals over humans at times. BUt, like any "mommy" i feel defensive when my babies are being talked down upon. Maybe i misunderstood your point.

I wasnt trying to talk down to your baby. I would never think of an animal any lesser than another. If that seems to be what im trying to do i am sorry. I am trying to "talk down" Upon the irresponsible breeders. Yes, every aniaml deserves a loving, caring home. BUt if it werent for thes "breeders" There wouldnt be such a demand for more good homes. There wouldnt be so many homeless animals. And most of all, there would be no need of killing healthy, stable animals.

Why not AGREE to DISAGREE rather than being immature and defensive? I think everyone here has given you a POLITE and respectful opinion.. yet you can't respect them for it? then why ask the question, if you only want it answered 1 way?

Because some things that were written, seemed to be saying that I should just forget about it cause iit isnt going to go away. Soem things i have said were perseeved as something that i didnt mean at all i know that because some poeple thought that i was pointing at them but i was pointing at the ones that do it and just dont care.

Well i agree, it would be wonderful to not have to kill healthy stable animals. It makes me sad that i cant have more than 2 dogs where i live. I would adopt alot more if i could.
