Chattiesmom's Gracie is coming home EARLY!!!
 

Hi everyone!
Well some great news and not so great news. The not so great news--my sister and mom had to cancel their trip to Florida because my Gram is not feeling well. They were supposed to pick up Gracie from Cindy (chattiesmom) on Friday, 12/12 at the Atlanta airport.

Well, the great news is that my sister and I are going to pick up Gracie TOMORROW, which just happens to be my sister's birthday!!! Can you think of a better birthday gift than getting a cutie like Gracie???

Well, we are excited and I probably won't be able to sleep tonight! We will take pictures at the airport when we meet Cindy and Gracie and post them as soon as we can--probably not until Tuesday.

I'm sure you are beside yourself with joy!!:congrats: Can't wait to see pics of the new addition.

I totally missed this thread until this very minute. I am so very excited. A mini meetup at the Atlanta Airport! It is always such a happy occasion to see one of the kids meet their new moms for the first time. I always take my camera, but I am yet to catch that first smile on Mom's face. Maybe tomorrow.

What an exciting time for you. Little Gracie caught my eye as well and all I can say is you are very lucky and I think Gracie is sooo lucky too.:)

Kelli and Colleen are in the air and I have the Mini Cooper loaded up and warming. Gracie and I will be leaving for the airport in a few minutes. I would appreciate your thoughts and prayers while we all travel.

Wow how exciting to get finally the new little Gracie. You of course can't sleep just waiting. Take lots of pictures and I will be waiting to see all of them. Don't think we get tired of seeing new pictures of puppies.

Hi everyone!
I am sorry it took so long to post but our flight didn't get home last night until 10:40pm and then we introduced Gracie and Lulu and had them play for a few minutes before letting Gracie have a long rest after her day of travel.

We met Cindy and Gracie at the Air Tran ticket counter at a little after 2pm. My sister fell in love with Gracie at first sight (in person--she already loved her from her pictures). We got to meet Cindy and talk with her which was great. Cindy had driven two hours to meet us at the airport--isn't that so nice? She is a very nice person and she took great care in raising Gracie. You can tell because Gracie is such a wonderful dog.

Gracie sat between my sister, Kelli and Cindy while we talked and then it was time for us to go to the gate and try to get on an earlier flight so we didn't have to wait around so long (didn't work, by the way). Cindy and Gracie said goodbye and we were off to the gate.

If you have ever been in the Atlanta airport, isn't it HUGE? We had to get on a train to get to Concourse C to get our flight, go down a huge escalator, then up another one, lots of noise, etc. and Gracie was an ANGEL!! She didn't shake at all and everyone admired how adorable she was. We ended up having to wait a long time for our scheduled flight at 8:40 and Gracie curled up in my sister's lap. They were comfortable with each other right away. Gracie didn't make a peep and settled in for the long wait.

After our flight, Kelli picked up the carrier from under the seat and opened it a bit and Gracie stuck her little head out. It was the cutest thing! None of the passengers had known that we had a dog with us until that point because Gracie was so calm and quiet in the carrier. Everyone "oohed and aahed" over how cute she was.

Then we were off to Gracie's new home and to meet Lulu which went really well. Lulu was a bit timid but she gave Gracie a kiss and they followed each other around a bit until we left.

It was such a great day!! Thank you Cindy for everything!! The only picture I am able to post right now is the one of my sister at the airport with Gracie. For some reason, even though I resized the others, I am getting an error message that the file is too large. I will have to fiddle with those tomorrow and see what I can do.

Yep, fly in and out of Atlanta airport all the time. Did you ride the train? I love the Atlanta airport..;)

I am so glad you had a great trip! Yes, Cindy is great and does take good care of her babies! I have another one to prove it! Gracie is a doll, and I am sure she and Lulu will be great pals. Congratulations again!;)
